good morning everyone.
off to work shortly. can't believe how fast my days off go by. still only two days to weekend. yesterday, got a few loads of towels washed and dried outside. had siestachecked friend's house who is away on holiday, had a cheats tea
.....all in all very boring day.
also got gas bill in. because of an estimate bill before we are behind apparently, so with that and the increase we are going up nearly £30 a month!!!! so I have changed deal and will be doing online meter reading too. not sure how much that will drop the payment yet - they are sending revised bill. have warned everyone more jerseys will be required this winter and I'll be watching the meter readings closely. hopefully with one less at home should at least save on heating water as DS loves his baths.x x x0 -

Morning all......
:grouphug: to those in need,
Also special feline hugs to Anniestar & Kaat - I've also been there, with both accidents & final illness. Don't have a feline friend at the moment as we have no garden & live on a busy main road, but can't wait until we've moved.
Not much happening today - WM on, just on my way to work. DF still away so ironing for me tonight
Re: the frock question - TK Maxx was hopeless - "new, better" store is totally carp. Have almost decided to go with the black frock, am debating adding some beading to the bodice to make it a bit more interesting....have remembered I have a grey silk beaded/slightly sequinned wrap that DF bought me a few years ago, so have sussed out a way to wear that, just need to sort out the shoe situation now.....will post a piccie when I've customised (probably more like distressed!) the dress.
WAT - Mr T's have got loads of stationery at the front of the store, stuff like Pukka Pads & files are reasonably cheap.....
Have a good day all......see you later

Happy anniversary Stressedoutmum
I am staaaaaaaaaaaaaaarving. Have got to have a fasting blood test done today so am getting to the clininc at 8am-ish as there is always a long queue.
Then going to town. Want to pop into Bon Marche and see if they have any cheap and cheerful t-shirts for my holiday. Will have a wander round the other shops to see if there is anything worth having in their sales. Then back to a large pile of ironing and have orders for Twink's hobnobs.
Hugs to Kaat for her kitty cat. I know how very upsetting it is. Our Snowy had to be put to sleep at the vet's. But we brought her home and buried her in her favourite spot in the garden where she used to sunbathe. Hugs for poor Annie's cat's passing too.
Have a good day all0 -
Morning all.
Pouring down with rain atm but as the old saying goes: "there's no bad weather, just the wrong clothes"
Just a quick one from me as I've got to feed the hounds and myself and then get sorted and away to today's interview. (everything cross-able has been crossed)
Hope everyone is as good as can be.

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Stressedout - have a great day!
Charlie's Mum - just a word of warning to your neighbours about their hot tub. My neighbour had one installed two years ago, took four dips in it and got Legionnaire's disease which very nearly finished him off. He was very very ill and in hospital for a month and unable to return to work for another two months. The temperature of the water is critical. It has to be at at least 65C to kill of the Legionnaire bug. I don't want to put a downer on your neighbours but, having seen how ill my good friend was, has put me off hot tubs for life!
Essex-Girl - it took ages just uploading one photo and then I put it in the wrong place first; it's also side on and I can't turn it round so that it's the right way up AND I can't remember how I uploaded it! I get really impatient if I can't make something work right away and I nearly gave up. I shall try again when I have a couple of hours (days) to spare!
Well, the sun is shining; it's still very cold but with any luck the sun will stay out and warm things up a bit.
Anyway, I wasn't going to come on here until I had done my chores but DH has just left for work and I made a cup of coffee to set me up for the morning and ended up on here!
Hope everyone has a good day.
See you later.

morning all,
Looks like a nice day here but its a bit cold, still at least its not raining. Off to work today, dd and little dog will stay at home, which means I can get her to hoover through.
Scampi (bogof) chips and peas for tea tonight, and we have a sainsbugs delivery coming, will also have an early night as I am sooooo tired for some reason.
Hugs to Annie and Mark xx
Kaat, hope you are ok xx
Mr + Mrs stressed, happy anniversary :T
Ageandjo, some fish is nice with salad, and some with small seasonal veg and tiny new pots, sounds delish, where do you get the fish ?
Smoky, hope you are ok, xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Well, I seem to have collected a load of friends on Facebook. I spent about an hour uploading a photo but can't remember how I did it so any tips from the Facebook professionals on here would be most welcome! Am I the only one who finds it difficult to find my way around Facebook? My new DIL's sister has put some of her photos of the wedding on there. I can see them but do you have to be a friend to be able to see someone's photos? It's all new to me!
Kathy, no you are not the only one.... I can manage some bits of it, but it took me hours to get my photos on the other night too! It depends on the settings on people's profiles as to what you can see - mine is set so that my friends & their friends can see, others set it so the world & his wife can see, and others so that only their friends can look. I struggle to get to grips with the games & applications but I'm sure I'll get there:rolleyes:
Happy Anniversary SOMO1 - have a lovely day & enjoy your child-free meal!
Martyn, everything crossed for you!!!! Good luck!!
LTS, nothing worse in the middle of the night than having to strip & change bedsI applaud your (and W-Twit's) commitment to the Olympics. I have managed to completely avoid it all so far
Moo2Moo - horse showers & hairdryers, sounds like luxury. Might book myself a place at that yard..!!!
Ageando, how about some new potatoes or potato salad with the fish? Or couscous salad?
EDIT: Redruby - great minds think alike!!! Just spotted what you suggested to Ageando.
((((((((((hugs))))))) to all those needing or wanting, especially Mr & Mrs Anniestar, and Kaat-lady/Archie. Thinking of you all.
Giving DD a lift into work as I need to pop into town - and need to get in & out early before the hordes descend for the start of our 4 day free seafront airshow (Dazi - Airbourne strikes again!!!!!).Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

Morning!
Will probably go to the fishermen along Worthing seafront there are 3 or 4 of them that sell their fresh fish daily there, they catch it and it's eaten on the same day you can't get much fresher than that! baby new pots and salad sound nice too. That's our dinner sorted:j0
