Morning all
Happy Anniversary to the stressed outs  and hugs to anyone with kitty woes....I know how it feels as I lost 2 in less then a year - one a pretty stray who adopted us and promptly got hit by a car (spleen removal on Easter Sunday 2006!!!!) but didn't survive long afterwards, and the other (PoppyOscar - my namesake) who had a big tumour and had to be put to sleep last year. Both buried in the garden in France, one under a verbenum mariseii and the other under a willow.
Plans for today - depends on the weather - looks positive right now, but then it has done at this time of day all week, then the black clouds roll in! I want to change the sheets but have only one set so need ot get them washed and dried in a day.
First things first though, cup of tea beckoning - then I'll feel human!

Happy aniversary to Mr & Mrs Stressedout
(((hugs))) for KAAT
Good luck for the interview Benthosboy
Mioliere I am ok with the photos on facebook, I'm just not very good at replying to invitations to throw sheep etc!
I found out where my interview is, OH told me a shortcut through the park, took me 20 mins to get there and 35 on the way back as coming back it is all uphill, and a very steep hill at that, if I get the job I reckon I will lose weightAgency sent me the details, matching invoices, administration and dataentry. Nothing there I can't do, but we will see
Had a call from DS last night, that is VERY unusual. It was to tell me that he and DIL to be have put an offer on a flat and its been accepted. He was very talkative, not like him at all :rotfl: he even thinks he may have time to see me when I go visiting in 11 days 14 hours (not that I'm really counting):rotfl:
I made up for my laziness yesterday morning, in the afternoon I cooked up loads of mince and made up 2 shepherds pies, 3 portions of bolognaise and 6 portions of chilli. Today when I get back am going to make some quiches as have some eggs that need using up. As the weather looks good will also wash hall runner and bath mats.

Good morning all!
Well, the aliens have departed, that strange yellow blob in the sky is no where to be seen. :rotfl:
I need to put on the old deerstalker hat today - there is a bad smell in the kitchen - current suspects are Mr bin and Miss plughole. Mount Washmore is merely a grassy knoll at the moment - hurrah and huzzah!
I hope everyone is well today, happy anniversary to Mr & Mrs stressedoutmumof1 and hugs to all that want or need them.0 -

Having trouble posting because evil cat is trying to lie on the keyboard. She doesn't actually want to be there, but she wants me to let her out. I am strongly tempted to do so - it is throwing it down! It is supposed to clear up later on and then I will take little bear to the chemist at the end of the street in his reins. Depending on little bear.
He has woken up in a grumpy mood today but I am confident he will cheer up. He still has no interest in chicken but tucked into the rubbish beef grill I was using up to help clear the freezer.
Do tomatoes ripen if there is no sun? It's the first time I have tried to grow them and there seems to be a lot of green ones.
Pasta and sauce tonight, which I am anticipating with pleasure. One of the best bits is that I have to have the kitchen sorted out before I start but it only takes half an hour including my slow chopping speed and bringing water to the boil from start to finish. I'm going to boil the kettle for the water for the pasta. Apparently it is cheaper to bring water to the boil in a kettle than a pan.
Thinking of you, Kaat Lady. It is so hard when you feel you are losing a loved one. I know you will be doing all you can for your friend.
In fact, there are a lot of people on this thread that I am keeping in my mind, even though I am so new here. Good luck to you all.

:hello: Good morning!
I made good progress on dd's room and can now see the floor! unfortunately I can no longer see the floor in the living room!:rotfl: boxes of photos and books everywhere! Oh well I still have a couple of weeks to get it sorted.
Penny and I are off with a friend and her dog for a walk by one of our local rivers. My friend has a doberman  looks like a giant next to little Penny but so long as they both have a tennis ball each they get on fine! fingers crossed they don't decide to go for a swim today! We are hoping to go for a nice cup of coffee as well if they behave.
Breakfast - hm muesli and orange juice
lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - not sure but could be risotto followed by fruit salad
(((hugs))) to anniestar and oh, Kaat and Archie, Penpen, mrs mix, jayward, smoky, jackieO and anyone else who could use one.
Happy wedding anniversary to SOMO1
Good luck Martyn!

I must stop reading so fast - i thought moo2moo was putting the horses in pjs and taking them home to bed :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed for Martyn today - I hate interviews but must be good at them as I've only failed one
Happy anniversary SOMO1
dd(23) came home as I was putting the finishing touches to a freshly shabby chiced cabinet - Ta-da - said I - Oh Mum that's going to look quite nice when it's finished properly - said she. Sigh. I'm quite pleased wih how much I've got done this week - diy scares me so much that this house has never been decorated. I am chucking white paint everywhere and it's really starting to come together. i'm alternating a half hour of painting with a half hour of decluttering as I seem to have spent the last four years bemoaning the state of the house and shifting stuff from place to place.
Lunch with smart work friends today so I must try to wash sme of the paint out of my hair
have a good day everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning All
Happy Anniversary to the stressed outs!
Good luck with the interviews Martyn and Dazi!
I have quite a bit to do today but I'll see how the day pans out. I need to make some apple and blackberry crumbles with the blackberries I picked yesterday. Going to mum and dad's for tea and I could also do with doing a bit of shopping.
I've finished all my washing now but I haven't done any ironing so I suppose I'd better do that at some point.
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs to all
