I've just ordered the SD254WXC it doesn't have the automatic nut thing. I assumed that i would just add seeds, nuts, olive myself when it bleeps.
Reading the manual the olive bread recipe has in brackets SD255 only so does this mean i won't be able to make olive bread?Kind Regards

Thanks Pitlane Piglet!:T

I was so tempted to make that! But OH suggested that I start with a basic white loaf and the full 4 hour cycle as we have a good idea what that should come out like!
Tomorrow though I really fancy that spicy fruit loaf...Although I could try the timer and have it ready for brekkie???? oooooh I like that idea!!!!!!!
Only 1 hour 35 to go...not that I am counting down or anything;)

Thought this might be the best place to post. Any ideas where is the cheapest place for this breadmaker? Thanks in advance.0

Hi Winky
How did the first loaf go? Hope it was a success.
I'm really jealous that you managed to get your Panny from Costco- I bought mine from John Lewis a few months ago and then could have kicked myself when I saw it £17 cheaper in Costco. Oh well, I still love it.

Has anyone actually tried doubling up on the pizza dough quanties? Did it work and what setting did you use?
Thanks

HI Everyone,
I bought mine last month and love it. I have been using Carrs bread mix (bought from Lakeland) but will start to be more adventurous. Thank you for all the links.
I don't eat a huge amount of bread but this one goes down so well. I haven't bought any bread since I bought it.
I bought mine from John Lews - I had some vouchers to use and my brothers had given me some money as a gift (brother and sister day festival in August!) so only used £40 of my own for it. I was kicking myself a bit later as I found some more JL vouchers! Oh well - I will save the vouchers for another treat.
Hope you are all waking up to the smell of baking bread mmmmmmmm!

I've had my panny breadmaker for a while and am quite happy with the results but I'd love to be able to make bread like the Tesco Finest unsliced white loafs. The crust is much softer than when I make bread following the booklet and the inner part of the bread is also softer.
Any hints or tips? I usually use Dove flour and the yeast that comes in an orange packet.
Thanks in advance!0 -
Tiddley Winks, the first loaf was amazing! It was light and fluffy with a gorgeous golden crust!
I used tescos own sachets of yeast (threw the full sachet in) and white bread flour, the xl basic setting, full 4 hour cycle, with dark crust.
I now am trying the brioch recipe, but with added sultanas and a pinch of all spice. (Can you tell I'm what my Mum calls a "messer"? I say I like to experiement!)
Topher, the center of mine was very much like Mr T's Finest, very light and airy but looking at the tips if you did it on the light crust, wrap it in a tea-towel as soon as its done that will make for a softer crust. If you look through either this thread or the old oneI think someone said to reduce the sugar slightly too.
I love the way its dancing on my kitchen table right now!
