  • I have an SD-2511 and I have a problem with the consistency of my loaf. The loaf texture is fine at the bottom but the top is very open textured which just breaks up when you try to spread butter. I have tried varying the flour but it doesn't make any difference.

Could this be a little too much water?

Apologies if this has been asked already! I've perfected my sourdough starter, and wondered about using the Panasonic  BM to knead and rest the dough (I have poor hand strength and I can't knead well). The Panny sourdough dough programme recipe calls for yeast though. Is it OK to use a different sourdough recipe without yeast on that programme please?

I could just try but I hate wasting ingredients and electricity especially at the mo.

    Many thanks!
