Paying by DD doesn't give you any different price for your line rental than paying by any other means.

And the charge is currently £10.72 each month. (To give you chapter and verse, they have never charged the £9.99 you say you pay now - the last change (apart from the VAT alteration in Dec 2008) was on 08/09/08 when the DD discount was abolished (and the free w/e calls to mobiles/international numbers was included). Prior to that DD customers got £1 off, making their payment £9.95/month. From last September the charge for everyone has been £10.95 (till the VAT change made it £10.72).

Q is spot on,

now you can pay by a credit card for yr 3 monthy bill although the bill does only mention payment by debit cards.

Free Broadband with Orange requires you to cps your calls to Orange,you cannot do that if your phone is with PO Homephone..

You have added the word "free" now. Of course you have to have the Orange cps, but that is an entirely different situation.

You can have orange broadband with a post office "bt" line, though not the "free" product which has the cps requirement.

How is it an entirely different situation the poster had free broadband and wanted to keep it and he cant do that if he moves to PO Homephone.

It mentions 0845 on http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/content1?catId=19300217&mediaId=19800178 but not 0844

Will it cost the same to call through dialwise 0844 number with the Post Office as it does on BT?
