I've never had haggis and heard mixed reviews. what would I look for to ensure a 'good' one? Like the sound of slow cooker haggis pasta sauce, got to be cheaper than mince and I'd imagine loads tastier tooMortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00GC Feb 0/£2000

Great ideas, although i love haggis especially stuffed in a chicken breast drizzled with whiskey sauce i'm struggling to think of ways to introduce haggis to the kids.
Have 3 in the freezer, may have to defrost one for dinner tomorrow night with one of these suggestions xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)

The memsahib is Scottish so haggis is an oftime treat in our wee hoose. We mostly have it the traditional way with mash and turnips or as the Scots say "neeps and tatties".0

Me too lol!
We have also made:
Haggis samosas
Haggis curry
Used it to top baked tatties
Haggis sausage rolls
Haggis round (like mince round but with haggis)
Haggis goulash
All cheap, filling and tasty even without the fabby haggis, neeps and tatties xxx0 -

If you think of it as minced lamb and oatmeal you'll find it easier to deal with. Just buy one. They're all very much of a muchness, except for the spicey ones which I like (nom nom)0 -

Don't buy Hall's haggis - they are made with pork!
I looked at Tesco online to check which brand was pork - I put 'haggis' into the search box and it asked me if I meant 'Huggies'! :rotfl:0
