We eat veggie haggis but have it lots of different ways. Haggis pakora, make a bhaji batter and coat balls of haggis with it and deep fry (my personal fave); haggis pasties with cubes of turnip and potato inside and some gravy; haggis sausage rolls; haggis pie with carrot onion turnip and celeriac topped with crusty pastry; chicken breast stuffed with haggis and baked, sevred with a whisky cream sauce (we have quorn fillets but its the same idea);haggis lasagne and just as it comes. I also used it to top portobello mushrooms, which was delicious. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Some really good ideas here. Our local butchers does haggis pies with a topping of mashed potatoes and mashed neeps, they were really good and pretty easy to do at home, make a pastry case fill with haggis and top with mash and neeps. They had individual ones or you could make larger ones.
I once ate haggis pakoras at a highland games, folded parcels stuffed with haggis and deep fired, I think the Hary Bikers ahve a recipe for this in Mums Know Best"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
BTW that fried not fired:rotfl:"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0
