  • We tend to take ours out of the casing, into a dish slightly mashed up and then dot with butter and a drizzle of Whisky and microwave. McSween's is our haggis of choice ( and they freeze beautifully when reduced after Burns night ).

Was an argument in our house, but put my foot down, we're having lasagne, how very traditional :(

We're having lasagne too. If DH wants to eat mushed up animals' entrails he is perfectly free to do so - but out of sight and smell of us non-Northern Britain types :o
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Yep - here too.

I am going to microwave some of it and freeze the rest as it is massive!!! There are only 2 of us and it would feed 8 I'm sure.

yes, we are having a veggie haggis
made a little loaf with it (and topped with a cranberry sauce), the leftovers will be lovely in a butterbean and haggis salad, or i might even try making haggis pakora!

We have haggis often, we like it. I slice it into a pyrex dish, dot it with butter, and heat in the oven. Cos I haven't got a microwave lol With mashed tatties and neeps.
  • We had haggis neeps and tatties tonight, LDL,s haggis perfect size for 2and on special offer too,
like the idea of drizzling on a little whiskey, might try that next time sounds lovely
