I just had another thought you may be able to get help from DIAL
    http://www.dialuk.info/

I spoke to a really nice lady, but unfortunately she couldn't take my case on as I wasn't within her area, but she really did know the system inside out
Thats maybe another route to look at.

    Stazi,

Even more confused now as I had an accountant and my Class 2 contributions were 6.55 a week.

Also, I wasn't even earning £66 pw as a self employed person so paying that amount wouldn't have been possible.

I need someone to look at all my paper work and all the inland revenue stuff before I give up.

It looks like I'm being punished for being 6 months behind on NIC not 2 yrs.

    Katye,

    Thank you for your kindness.

I am a fully paid member of DIGNITAS as that is my choice. It's an option I want.

I'm not a believer in suffering to the end. I've seen it and it it isn't pleasant.

Once again thank you all for answering.

    Kindest Regards

    B.

Yes Class 2 NIC stamps were £6.55 in the 99/00. Go back to my post #51 and just deal with 1 tax year at a time.

    Hi Stazi,

I rang the NIC, Inland Revenue and this is what I paid.

    May 99 - Feb 00 Class 2 self employed.

    April 99 - May 99 Class 3

    6 Feb 00 - 5 April 00 Class 3

I wasn't self employed for the whole yr.

I did recieve Sickness benefit in 98 btw.

My NIC have been Class 1 since 2002 paid by IB. But I am not entitled to any other financial help to actually live?

My whole life is one big mess.

99/00 Should be ALL Class 2 as you were S/E for the whole year. It doesn't/didn't matter to the HMRC if you diidn't work for a few weeks in a year. Get them to convert the Class 3 paid to Class 2.

00/01 What does your P60 show for this year?
