I would like to update on the currys product I bought.
I sent communication to currys and its head office.
I received an email telling me to contact LG myself.....hello?
I promptly telephoned them and finally got some sense!
I explained the problem, the communications sent etc,and was dealt with immediately.I got a telephone call from head office this morning stating that I would have a full refund and a pick up day.
I would like to take the time to say thank you for all the advice and support people give on here.
Such a wealth of information that gives people encouragment and confidence to fight for their rights!0 -
Hi,
Am wondering if i have a claim, the blower unit on my car has stopped working, the car is 32 months old (only covered 15000 miles). The warranty was only 24 months.
Should i be covered by the Durability part of the Sales of Goods act? Would you reasonably expect the cooling fan to work for more than 32 months?

Unless you can prove there was a fault in the blower unit when you got the car then you don't have much of a legal case. If you bought the car from a reputable dealer then talk to them and see if they will do something as a goodwill gesture.

hi everyone,
i am just returning goods bought from a well known london store(sale of course) via the internet and they say they will not return my original cost that they charged me for the postage,is this right? i thought i heard on tv somewhere you are entitled to any original postage costs incurred. i have read the dti site and am sure i am right.
any help appreciated
thanks alot0 -
Legally they are responsible for refunding the original cost of postage/package. You are responsible for the cost of sending the goods back to them.

If you are cancelling under the DSR you are entitled to a postage refund, have you contacted them in writing (email/letter) that you are cancelling the purchase under the DSR ?0

I would follow the suggestion from deanos and report them to Trading Standards if you get nowhere. Failing that I must be honest and say for £5.74 you may be better to forget it. Life is just too short!
