Hi, I wonder if you can help me please. I had a phone call advising me that i had won a competition for a day in London for a photo shoot. I advised that i did not want to book as i didnt know when i was free. I was then advised that if i pay a pound to secure a booking date then i would not have to pay if i need to cancel or amend the booking. I did book a date which turned out was ok with my friend. My friend is now ill in hospital and the company wants to charge me for the cancellation. I have not signed any contract or received anything via post, just an email to confirm our booking. The lady on the phone did not read me any terms or conditions but assured me that cancellation would be free if you cancel 7 days before your booking which i am doing. They advised me that they will take the ,money from my account. Surely they cannot do that without authorisation from myself. Any advice would be great. Thank you.0

Did you enter a competition, I guess not! What made you think you'd won!!
Hopefully by contacting your bank you might be able to stop any money being removed from your account.0 -
