    Hi

Just after some advise - I'm about to return an item at monsoon today which i have had for 2 months, never been worn as it was unsuitable, still have all the tags, receipt and the bag it came in etc.

Their returns policy is 28 days for money back / exchange - i've never returned anything after such a long period will i be entitled to a credit note?

We had a build a bear party for my daughter last week and it was a fiasco

I had agreed the budget and party plan with them a week before and despite checking our details when we arrived, the part hostess completely disregarded the £15 a head budget and let the children chose whatever they liked. When I complained they swapped the bears for others which turned out to be also outside the party plan. I spent all the party in 'discussion' with the manager about the poor planning. Meanwhile the party hostess forgot to put voices in the bears and then allowed the children to choose 'any' tshirt and then five minutes later too all the tshirts away and said they were only allowed plain ones.

We had tears and tantrums which ruined the party. I missed the whole thing arguing with the hopeless manager and dont even have a picture of the day.

I agreed to a 20% discount on the day and was just glad to get out of the shop but on reflection I'm still rieally mad. I've paid £118 for an awfull time and I'm not happy. I have rung their Head Office and the girl is investigating but what should I settle for?

They haven't delivered what you contracted them to do. You are entitled to a full refund and even compensation.

Put this to the head office in writing. If you fail to get satisfaction you could go to the Small Claims Court.

How did you pay your bill? If you paid with a credit card involve them in your dispute.

    Regards,

You're not entitled to a refund or a credit note as the item isn't faulty. They probably will give you an exchange or credit note, but legally they don't have to give you anything

    Hi,

We wanted to buy a tent from a company in the Netherlands (www.obelink.nl), who sell an identical tent as the UK supplier for about 35% less. The website's ordering system lets you specify the UK as a postal destination for orders.

However, the Dutch firm have refused to sell us the tent (approx. £181) and directed us to their UK "partner". The partner, www.bell-tents.co.uk, charges £300 for the same product! I think it only does this for specific bell tent orders, but is happy to accept UK orders for other items it sells.

I am sure that there is EU legislation against this. Can anyone advise?

    Thanks.

If it has water damage then it wont be covered by the guarantee you will need to claim on your house insurance if you have accidental damage

Was it Pixmania by any chance ?

If so they are a French shop, you can just get a shaver adaptor and it will work fine.
Just as a side note to Pixmania. If you do receive an order and didn't realise that it would come without a UK plug then they will collect from you at their expense if you would like a return. You do have to push them but if you keep repeating that the product page does not say that it comes without a UK plug and that by UK law that it has to then they will give in :)
