I have been in touch with the credit card company this morning they are sending out a dispute form for me to complete. I am still not certain about the remainder of the warranty with acer if misco repair the laptop.

This should have no bearing on the warranty.
Was it sold by Misco or Acer?

    Regards,
    Arthur.

The repair won't affect your warranty.

    Hi,

I recently (2 weeks ago) bought a pushchair/travel system from Mothercare on their baby plan, where we order / pay for it now and can get it delivered closer to baby's due date. They are now advertising this at £50 cheaper in a sale than when it was ordered and I'm wondering whether there is any obligation for them to refund the difference if I claim it?

I do not yet have the push chair, but it has been fully paid for on a Mothercard (used for the discount vouchers of course!) which in turn has been fully paid off. I have this nagging thought in my head that i am within my rights, but searching this site and the web isn't really conclusive.

    Any advice is appreciated,

    Thanks !

You do not have the right, Mothercare might do it as a goodwill gesture, would you be requesting to pay £50. extra if it had increased in price? I doubt it.

As you've not taken delivery ask Mothercare if they will cancel your order then re-order it again.

Thanks for the reply, what I needed to know. You're right, I wouldn't pay the extra, it's a money saving site!

On the back of the receipt they have a 28 day exchange/refund policy for any unused merchandise. I will use this clause to 'return' the goods even though I haven't taken delivery and buy again at the cheaper price.

Just ring them up they will probably just refund the £50, you do realise there is also a 20% code about you can use for further savings ;)
  • Chimp - how is it going on the mattress front? Any reply from Marshall Wards?
