  • Morning :hello:

Wish I didn't have a cold this weekend but luckily I've woken up this morning and most of my voice is still there! So no change to plans to sing in choir concert this evening.

Am not going to be very OS today at all - I've even worked out something I can wear that meets the requirements of the choir but does not involve ironing my black shirt. So I can put off doing the ironing (again) :o and in fact am still in bed as I type this. The joy of laptops! I'll be getting up when this is posted, having a shower, going down the road to pick up the newspaper and my cheapo dry cleaning, then eating reheated HM pasta with pork and peanut sauce and heading off to my rehearsal!

Me and friend might end up eating out this evening, if there's a Wetherspoons near where we're singing. I've got a big selection of Wetherspoon's money-off vouchers that came free with the Evening Standard recently, and they all expire this month. Haven't had the chance to use any of them.

PP - thinking of you :grouphug:

ancasta - your typing is fine. Who's going to know how long it took ? ;)

Right, I think I'm going to have 2 reduced custard tarts (20p) for breakfast! Not very substantial but I'll be eating an early lunch. Catch up later!

Well, Jake has gone to a very lovely home and although sad, am happy he will be looked after and loved :D He is going to a farm and will have free range  Anyways, received the amount of money we asked for and they gave DD a £50 note bonus (cant remember the last time we saw one of those and shes only 10!..lol) so she is getting her hamster stuff today  There were tears all around and aload of hugs-they will call later. OH gave them a t-shirt with his scent on, so that Jake will settle easier later-thats if he hasnt forgotten us by then

Thank you everyone for your supporting words and hugs-they are so needed today and probably for the next few days, weeks, years..lol.

We are off out. I have a warm coat on and a scarf and OH will be pushing me in wheelchair as Lupus is very bad today...nevermind!

    Love to all

An early post for me today - still in bed with laptop but have been up to get juice etc and OH has now showered and dressed - I'll do the same in a minute.

Managed to get on fairly well with jobs last night - sorted washing then did another load and put it on the airer - weather is so sunny here - really wish we had some outside space to put washing on :(

When I'm up and ready it'll be some breakfast (not sure what yet as we don't have much in) then will try and clear the floor so we can put the hoover round and depending on how last nights washing is doing put another load on.

Then OH is going to work for a few hours this afternoon and I'm popping into town as I really need some new trousers as I'll be working every day and jeans/cords etc are a big no no - I'm between sizes at the moment so will need to do some trying on in different shops so could take a while - good job I'll be on my own ;) Got some coin bags to pay into our holiday fund and a cheque to pay into my bank account from a cashback site, and want to have a look at a few things for presents now that the money is a bit more certain re work I can start planning and buying a few bits - will probably get some lunch while I'm out - treat myself to a sandwich and fruit juice somewhere.

Anyway then walk back and get car go and collect OH and then go to Tescos - normally go on a Friday night but decided to stay in and sort last night

We need to sort out our bills a bit tonight as we've both been paying different ones out of our own accounts and I want to check what the money situation is as I know it's not fair at the moment - I know I owe OH money. Looking forward to when we get married next year and get a joint bank account - will back life so much easier.

Don't know what dinner will be tonight - but I'll make a list before I collect OH so we can be more decisive in Tescos.

If I've got any energy left might start of wedding invites - got almost all the stuff now so need to get cracking :T

Hope everyone has a good day, PP hope your daughter gets the pet she wants - don't think I've ever had a £50 note :o

    Morning. (or is it afternoon??)

I woke up really late today but I had a really good sleep so I dont mind, ive spent the last couple of days manically cleaning and it feels like a sunday to me so im going to do ironing today. I did massive amounts of stuff yesterday, the only things I didnt get round to doing was changing the bedsheets, cleaning windows and the oven, so thats my plan, then go do a bit more shopping.

Ive just worked out how much I should get paid this month with all my overtime and stuff and im not that happy to be honest - It seems that no matter how hard I work the pay doesnt increase that much - so ive decided it is time to look for a new job because im sick of slaving for rude customers for very little pay. Im going to look over xmas and january and find something else for febuary time I think.

Anyway - off to plan a budget and have another big cuppa.

Hope you all have a good day - hope things get better for you PP

Well DH and I have just got back from putting down half the base for the shed on the allotment. We bought 8 3 x 2 slabs from a neighbour up there, managed to get 4 down before I decided that it was home time.......

Washing out before we went out, done overnight, have just got apples gooseberries and raspberries out of the freezer to make a crumble for tomorrow 's supper, roast beef for main course, with yorkies, cauli, brocc and carrots.....and gravy made with the red wine marinade from the meat.

Feeling a little more human today having started taking my medication yesterday, DH says I must be better I shouted at him last night!!!!

No other plans for today, cannot believe that we half way through November and the heat is still cutting out at around 11am and not coming back on until around 7pm, sometimes not at all, why do I have this feeling we are going to suffer later in the winter for this very mild spell. We are still picking yellow raspberries, I had some on my cereal this morning and there will be more tomorrow.

PP......I know you will miss your Westie.......but I am sure it was in all your best interests that he go to a home where he will be well looked after......we would love a dog, but our lifestyle really does not lend itself kindly to having pets, so very reluctantly we have to just have other peoples dogs when we are house sitting.

    Hi
Nice day here, washing went out first thing this morning, so did DS & DH.
Last night we took the cat to the vet & apparently she had picked up fleas    & is allergic to them. So she had to have a jab, and some flea treatment, then this morning I had to treat the house, vacuum everywhere then spray - then go out. So I have been out shopping all day.
Well, what I mean is, I have spent a lot of time trying to get in and out of the big town & also in and out of car parks. Never mind, I have got a few Christmas pressies. Also took the opportunity to go to Lidl; they are selling Christmas card-making kits for £2.99 for 225 pieces, that looks fun!
I have also bought some things to make some presents with; I want to make a towel elephant for my sister and BIL, and a towel kitten for a lady I have to get a present for.
    http://www.geocities.com/kraftproject/craft-towel-n-wash-cloth-elephant.html
That is the link for the elephant, they are very easy to make: just a towel & 2 flannels, but looks cute. The kitten is on the same site.
I wonder what to do for tonight's dinner?
  • Tesco value towels and face cloths are really cheap, I think the hand towel is only 74p which would be good for making these.

We came home with a stack of these towel animals from Disney made up for us by the lovely "mouse-keepers" They would pop them in the most unusual places and it was fun to come home to see what was sitting in our window, watching TV or on the bed icon7.gif
  • Hi all,

DD is with her dad this weekend so had a nice lay in and DH brought me breakfast in bed. Done 2 loads of washing and tidied up.

Went to the £1 shop and the 99p shop and got lots of xmas cards and other little bits.
Had a mooch round the charity shops but nothing I fancied.

Got stuffed mushrooms for tea. mmmmm
