And there was me thinking my Pork joint being reduced from £5.79 to £2.29 was a bargain-well done Glad!!!
I am off to the Christmas Craft Fair tomorrow with my mum to hopefully pick up some end of day bargains for my cardmaking and on my return plan to make my first ever Christmas cake...have broken myself in gently by making muffins and biscuits over the past few weeks, so wish me luck!!!
I am hoping by the time I get home the roast will be on the table (hmmm, and pigs might fly!)Getting Married 19/02/110 -
Morning Everyone
Well, I feel much better-a little sad but OK.
Took DD over to Pets At Home yesterday and she got a new hamster explorer cage with wheel/bed/tube etc, a hamster ball to go on the floor, bedding, food and a hamster which she has named "Fidget". So DD very happy and all paid from her £50 note with £20 to spare
We also went to Boots-where I spent over £25 on hairdryer/baby out fit for friend/brochial medicine/rusks for OH/Nivea/bits for DD, but had enough for everything except my 80p bottle of water :T Then went to Makros and bought everything I needed from their Makromail as was lowish on a few items(loo rolls/kitchen towels/persil WM liquid (200 washes for £11)/worcestershire sauce/reduced 8 sirloin steaks (£12-£3  )/2 x rottiserie chickens from £3.80-89p each and some other bits. They had 20% off all games and kids stuff so bought a few pressies to put away. OH bought a case of beer and we managed to spend only £75.
Lady who has westie called last night and said he had already been to the park twice and he had fallen asleep on her lap and had marked every plant in the garden by peeing on it  sounds like Jake..lol. Im so happy he has settled in ok-seems very quiet here though. We have wooden floors and we're used to him doing his lord of the dance sounds on the floor..lol...never mind-I'll have to get OH to put some stillettos on and walk around
Anyways, we have roast chicken today, roast spuds, mash, sprouts, HM yorkies, broc/cauli, stuffing & gravy.
Have my 1st load in WM, DW needs emptying-DD can do that. House is still clean and tidy and have SIL coming tomorrow to do some bits around the house and all me ironing
Will catch up later, but have a good day everyone!
Its flippin cold here today and feel like my flu is back as I have a temperature and sore throat

All large 3-4kg joints were reduced to £1.25p per kilo. Bargain. But the idiot on the checkouts put them through at £1.25p each! :j

'Morning everyone :hello:
Had a lovely day yesterday. Went to the farm shop and got some lovely vegetables and then on to the fishmonger who calls at a local village every Saturday. Got a Sea Bass (a bit of a treat at the price) and OH filleted it (following instructions from one of my car boot recipe book buys). Following Rich Steins instructions we had a lovely lunch. We've never had sea bass before and it was absolutely delicious. We are now aiming to save up to have fresh fish from the fish monger once or twice a month.
In the afternoon we bottled up our home made wine (and sampled some later) and I made chocolate chip muffins for youngest DD. For tea I made home made lamb burgers.
Today I'm hoping to go and meander around the local Designer Outlet for presents ideas and at some stage work my way through the pile of ironing.
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning all
Nothing very exciting planned for today. I have laundry to do (for a change) and we're having a leg of lamb for tea, with all the usual accompaniments. Our house guest adores lamb, but his wife hates it so he doesn't get to eat it often
I have to take DS1 to a footy party at 12 - that will use up the last pressie in the pressie box and he's another one to go to in a fortnight! The january sales will of course see me refilling this box.
You lot have had some great bargains courtesy of Mr Tesco. This is now the problem with refusing to buy my meat from supermarkets - I don't get these bargainsHowever, I tell myself I am eating local, tastier meat and more importantly, NOT lining the pockets of the Tesco clan with as much money as I used to give them
(No probs with any of you lot doing so, BTW)
Ok, off to have my breakfast - porridge, HM toast and marmalade? Decisions, decisions....0 -
Morning All!!:hello:
At work again today. Got the silence to do later, with a bulletin off the back of it. Last time I tried this I broke down as it was a few weeks after I lost my Dad, I just hope I can keep it together this year
It's freezing here. Went to a huge firework display last night which was brilliant
Going to Debs later, as I've been given a special discount card that will also get me a free box of chocs!!!:jComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning All.
PP, chin up, you now have Fidgit so its all good right?I know its hard *hugs*
Well ive finally pinned down OH into agreeing to helping me sort out our wedding so hopefully it will be in the spring/early summer next year. We are going to do it OS as i want a very simple plain wedding. Its all about the people and the vows isnt it, not the 30000000000000 guests you dont know or the £40000000000000000 you spend on the reception and dress! its MADNESS! My friend is a seamstress and is going to whip me up a dress at cost so thats ok. Got one or two tricks up my sleave for venue but thats all hush hush.
Might be trying to blag a free sunday lunch from my mam but if not ill be sending OH off to iceland for a nice stuffed turkey joint and roasties to have as a super quick to prepare meal as im still a bit impaired with my fingers all strapped up.
Will post back later.

Morning all,
Glad you're feeling better PP, Good luck with your bulletin Scuzz. I've got to march 18 Brownies to the War memorial and then keep them quiet during the church service. We then have to serve afternoon tea to the British Legion - if anyone deserves a Brownie badge its me :rotfl:
We had a big WI social last night so we've got leftovers for lunch, and basic fish fingers for Tea.
Then later I need to do some baking for the Lunch boxes this week, I was amazed at how much I saved this week :money: - and the DDs didn't have any junk.
Have a peaceful Sunday everone, Sally X:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

Morning!
Im pretty happy today, boyf went to his parents last night to fill in a form (he got 3 penalty points and a fine for being flashed doing 33 in 30 - pain in the bum!) but his parents must have been feeling sorry for him because he came home with an original 1960's lamp that is awesome (needs re-wiring though - anyone know how much that costs??) and a couple of John Lewis cushions and vases which has been bought for us, and a pocketful of cash. Nice! (it means the telewest bill will get paid on Friday!)
Anyway, his band has now got a temporary website up which is good - if anyone fancies a listen then let me know and ill post up the link as some of the tracks are on there - and id like some feedback too as I love it - but im biased so I would
We finally have an exceptionally clean and flea free house too which is nice, and I finally feel a bit more organised which is fab. Ive still got a load of ornaments that I havent decided where they are going yet so I think I might accessorise today and finish waxing my table.
Im also doing a Roast Chicken today, and need to pop to laundrette to dry a blanket I washed - but aside from that the day is mine! But the thought of going back to work tomorrow is very depressing, but I think I get paid Friday so ill shop to cheer myself up then!
Hope you all have a great day!

Morning all, just waiting for DS's dad to pick him up early as they are off to the remembrance service, DH has already left resplendant in his uniform, he's conducting the band this morning, and DD1 has left for Cribbs Causeway with her boyfriend to do some christmas shopping.
Then DH will whip home at 12 to try and get some sleep before he has to get up again and conduct the band again at the town hall service which is huge and full of dignitaries although last year he whipped them all into shape telling them they weren't singing Land of Hope and Glory loud enoughThen he has to dash home and back into work for the night. Oh what a day this is going to be.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
