  • Morning everyone,

Had a rotten night with my tooth  so have told work I won't be coming in today (first sick day since Jan). DD (20 months) had a terrible night, screaming in pain, grabbing her ear crying 'my eye, my eye' bless her. I will have to go to Tesco and get some nurofen plus as there are no other pharmacies open nearby (you wouldn't think I worked for Boots would you? I never have enough medicine at home!). :o

    See ya all later xx

  • ARRRGGGHHH - MEN!!

having got the biggest leg of lamb out of the freezer on Friday night (I'd already asked the men what they wanted for Sunday tea, Mr TM informs me, just before he leaves the house today for all his rememberance day things, that he and our guest will be home late. How late, says I, thinking it will be the usual 4-5pm. Oh, about 9pm - we're all going for a drink and something to eat afterwards

Now, he swears blind he's told me and that I, as usual, haven't been listening. However, when I go downstairs sometime later, our guest is still here as he doesn't feel up to spending 12 hours out, but said Mr TM came downstairs and said he was in trouble and that actually he did forget to tell me  However, hell would freeze over before he admitted it to me :D

Anyway, we've decided to have a chicken curry tonight so I can do the lamb tomorrow when I have a houseful. Just need to whip up some base sauce this afternoon, and away we go. Hopefully, Mr Tm who is now coming home at 5, will be expecting a lovely roast amb dinner. Well tough! (He likes curry anyway :D)

Guess who was cleaning the bathroom at midnight last night  but at least it's done and so didn't have to tackle that this morning - got up about 10.30 and have had coffee/tea and croistants whilst watching the rememberance thing on the tele. Continuing to try and get to the bottom of stuff to sort  moving from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom flat - particularly loosing the loft has been a right pain - (3rd person in our house moved out hence why we used to have 3 bedrooms for 2 people). Second bedroom here is tiny and is currently just full of stuff which we're not sure where to put - I'm sure we'll get there but it's just hard knowing it's stuff you want to keep - but not sure if you've got room for.

Not sure what's for dinner yet but have chicken breasts and veg, already got some potatoes and then normal store cupboard stuff so guess OH should work out what he wants to do with it all ;)

Just been sorting my coupons as Tescos were funny last week and don't want to waste any with short dates/that I have loads of.

Will go up to out of town shops later - want to go to the Next after the disaster in the city centre yesterday and want to look for a few other bits in TK maxx and asda.

Delicates have already gone on in the WM and OH just going to take them out for me whilst I type this :o Will need to do at least another load today but trying to keep on top of it

Anyway better go - don't think OH is too impressed with my computer useage :o

Have a good day all

Hi everyone, Just want to show off my new picture / avatar thingie! I am so bad at computers and have totally amazed myself that this has worked! Followed instructions on another post how to do it - looks complicated but isn't at all! However, I should really have been getting on with my chores and making the most of DS2 being asleep and DS1 out shopping with DH.
Best get back to work now- dinner will be ham and jacket potatoes - will have to go to shops at some stage for cat food so might get some salad to go with it, otherwise its carrots!
    Have a good Sunday everyone.
    Henhog.

We have just got back from draining down the caravan and getting it ready for winter, there was a frost warning for tonight, do not want any burst pipes....... finished off yesterdays quiche for lunch with some salad, roast beef for supper with the works.

Off outside to dig up the geraniums which I know will not survive a frost, they have been flowering their little hearts outin the garden this summer, bright red.....so need to keep them on the back bedroom window cill for the duration.

  • That's it - finished for the day now. Picked up trillions of leaves, tidied the front, cleaned the drains...I'm now starving hungry...mmmmm... need to think what to make for tea in the meantime this very large packet of Choccy Biccys will do the trick.... hee hee.. :D

PS – Do you like my new Avatar? It’s my first attempt at creating one. Used MS Paint but it’s difficult to draw with a mouse on an 80 x 80 pixel canvas – hee hee. :p As you can see I have incorporated many of the Elements and Principals of design – Unity, Balance, Harmony, Alternation and Value with a strong oblique directional thrust etc… providing the viewer with an interesting and captivating view of my flower garden on a hot, sultry day …. Old Style limited edition prints will be available in due course…..hee hee…. :rotfl:
