Bit of a late post for me today - and mustn't stay on too long because it is my determined ambition today to have a great big clear out of my room. By the time I go to bed tonight I intend to be able to see the floor (rather than loads of newspapers and carrier bags), the coffee table (rather than all my summer clothes waiting to be put away till next year) and the piano stool and piano (rather than a pile of clean washing) :o It would be nice to get some ironing done as well, I've been putting it off for literally WEEKS.

Also have to fill in forms for a staff share purchase scheme we've got coming up (deadline is Thursday) - got to work out how much I want to invest. TBH I don't think I can afford too much on the basis that my job is driving me up the wall and I'd like to keep enough cash savings to enable me to resign if necessary and not have to worry about a permanent full-time position straight away.

Got home late from church cos I went out for a beer with a few people afterwards to talk about church housekeeping/repairs and an upcoming fundraiser concert we're doing. Don't know what I was thinking cos "for a laugh" I seem to have agreed to sing duets from Grease with a 60-something-year-old tone-deaf priest

Am VERY tempted to throw a sickie and stay off work tomorrow... I have had a cold all weekend and my boss actually SUGGESTED on Friday that I think carefully before coming in on Monday. I don't feel ill enough to call in sick, but hey, I hate my job, and it was in fact my boss who gave me the cold  Will probably end up going in tho', unless I actually feel rubbish tomorrow.

Don't need to cook for a whole week  cos I've done soooo much for the freezer this week!

    Evening all

First chance to get on all day!

Got woken at 2am by DD1 who said she felt sick.......spent the rest of the night seeing to her and mopping up - bless her. Finally gave in and got up at 8.30, made brekkie and had a general tidy up in the kitchen - In between bouts of tending the sick and bathing the sick and washing the sicks hair and generally pandering to the sick, we did actually manage to move the furniture in the bedroom, it's given us so much more room it's wonderful.

4 loads of washing washed, dried and put away, stuff boxed up and in the loft, various bits done in the shed and lots of paper work sorted out, ironed what DH needs to take away with him this week and helped him pack his case without looking all glum and sad that he's going away.

DD's both went to bed at 6pm, just hope the other one doesn't come down with it now!

No work tomorrow as I can't have little ones in the house with all these sicky germs so will relax with DD1 and do some crafty stuff if she feels up to it.

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.

    Evening People,

Late post again. Didn't get 5 mins to myself all W/E but have run the kids ragged today and all 3 of them were asleep by 6.45 :j It does mean they will be up by 5.30/6.00 tomorrow but I am going to bed in minute so am not too worried. I havent had an unbroken nights sleep since I was 6 months pregnant with DD1 3 1/2 years ago.I'm am permanantly shattered- WHEN DOES IT END???

Also fretting about the budget, I have cut down lots as in sept I spent £543!!! But this month seems to be too big a spend still. Have decided I am going to make a list of EVERY item I buy so I know how much of things I am buying per month. Hopefully I will then be able to identify where I can cut back further. Am toilet training DS (2) so hopefully nappies will be off the list (for him at least) in a few weeks.

Went out for lunch with SIL/BIL/MIL & neices today which was nice as we havent seen them all together since xmas! Even nicer when BIL picked up the tab-bless him. He knows we are struggling a bit at the mo.

Practising like mad for my theory test on tues, I pass most of my practise ones but then nerves are hardly a problem at home are they

Off to make a big mug of cocoa now and snuggle up with :money: , no not the bloke, the book :D It arrived on friday and I cant put it down.

Have just reserved my BM for collection tomorrow :j I was going to save my birthday money for the new year sales but dont reckon this price could be beaten ;) £59.99 in argos down from £99.99 :j

Will be here tomorrow bugging you all for BM help!

Enjoy your evenings everyone, I'm off to bed.

I take it you're going for the Russell Hobbs one then? You won't be disappointed and it will be nice to have someone else on here with one (just me and margaret I believe :D)

I agree, you probably won't get it much cheaper. I paid £66.65 I think, a few months ago so you've saved a bit on what I paid. However, I've made up the difference in my HM bread these past few months. The fruity bread is to die for........yum

That is so very sad. ((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))

go give your girls a big hug so what if you wake them up.
  • LTS - that's terrible. I also know both friends and family who have had full term still births (one had 2) yet all have gone on to have children. I know this isn't of any help at the moment, especially to the parents, but I'm sending (((hugs))) to you and yours.

    TM
  • LTS - I echo what Ticklemouse has said. A couple I know had twins, one of whom died just before birth, the other just after. They are still devastated but now have a healthy 2yr old daughter.

Another couple who work for my company recently lost their baby shortly after birth.

The rotten thing is, I have never come across this happening to anybody who aren't, well, really good people who deserve every happiness. It must be even worse when you have to go through labour knowing the baby is dead.

(((((Hugs))))) to all involved (and the people I've mentioned above if they happen to be reading this) :grouphug:
