    Morning All,

PP :grouphug: I really hope things start to get easier for you soon.

Gone into panic mode a bit this am, had a call from MIL about 20 mins ago and she is popping around about 9ish today-ARGH. So, once again I am on an early morning cleaning run,i must impress-i must impress-i must impress.
I seem to have one of those "perfect" SIL's that I always feel I am having to play catch up to. MIL always commenting on "how well" SIL is doing for herself-blah blah-blah. You know the story,I'm sure its the same elsewhere.

Other than that I have nothing planned today. DD1 (3) has preschool at 1pm but thats it-its our lazy day ;) . DH at a meeting near home today so will be home early.

Dinner will be fish and veg, soup for me.

Off for a browse and some coffee,
    Love to all,
    Al.

penny, your dog will be fine, he will love his new home. He will love you more for giving him the opportunity for such a fantastic life. Look at it like this, you love him so much you are going to give him up in order that he can have a better life. That is very very selfless! :grouphug:

today I have to get kids to school/nursery. Tidy the house. Also go to work for 5pm. Unfortunatly my sis can't have the kids today & DH will be home a wee bit late. So I have to try & find someone who can have my kids, eek!

Just ate my museli for brekkie. Am not quite there for organisation skills for lunch & dinner but have lots in freezer & pantry so shall go & look!

Decided yesterday it was time to get back to exercising as due to illnesses etc haven't been able to do more than a 10minute walk since July. Anyway yesterday I did my Davina dvd for the first time(got it free from my mum) and oh my god I hurt today Davina is evil!!!!!!!! There is a 20 minute squat section so today it hurts to move my legs lol.

Math you really made me laugh yesterday very funny post.

Not much planned today got the flat cleaned yesterday so today just need a quick tidy round. Also need to pop to the shop for juice but thats dependent on getting my legs working again I may attempt Davina again later but not sure.

Hope everyone has a good day xxxxxxxxx

if you really don't want the dog to go then just keep him, you've said what good company he is for you when ou are on your own and even if you can't walk him, surely with your husband at home all day he and your daughter could manage to walk him between them,
we have a cairn and my son and daughter have taken it in turns to take him on a 10 min walk every morning before school, along with a bag to pick up poop, since they were 8 & 9 yrs,
then we take it in turns to walk him in the evening,
pets are proven to be really beneficial to people who are disabled and/or depressed and plenty of such people keep pets who are on their own, where you have 2 able bodied people in the house who could help, so that its NOT another thing you have to lose because you're ill. icon7.gif

    Morning everyone

Well, I'm tired because I decided to stay up last night and play on the new test site :D

Anyway, another miserable day here. Haven't got a lot planned today - DS2 has to go to pre-school this afternoon and I have a phone mystery shopping job this morning, but other than that, I'll get on with the multitude of jobs that need doing (well, I'll start :D)

I have lots of leftovers in the fridge so dinner/tea will be made up of those. We have a friend coming this weekend, so best get the spare room cleaned and the radiator turned on.

Ok, off to clean up the 'accident' DS2 has just presented me with

ps Ta to Gingham Ribbon for the poppy - I looked for one last night but couldn't find one, so have borrowed the one she's using :)
  • good morning everyone,

PP i'm sure you will come to a decision that is right for yu and your family regarding the westie. I know how you are feeling,, I had an adorable lurcher many years ago, he was affectionate and brillliant with the children, but he was a complete destructive nightmare. If he could chew it he would redulting in the destruction of a couple of thousand pounds worth of household goods. Beds carpets dining furniture, to name but a few lol.

He was rehomed for us via the RSPCA, who found an owner with a farm, much more suited to a dog with the amount of energy he had. ( p.s when we got himas a pup we were told he was a heinz 57 but no mention of the lurcher ).
We all cried for ages, but now remember him with affection, knowing that for us it was the right decision.

Anyway today so far I have got the kitchen cleaned up and a Lancashire hotpot in the slowcooker.

I need to change the bedlinen, and re-jig the bedrooms for the elder daughters and stepdaughter who are coming for the weekend.

Other than a bit of a bathroom and living room blitz that's about it for today, as I had a baking session last night and the bread was made on timer last night.

I feel much more motivated again thanks to everyone reminding us that there is no pressure to be superwoman, and feel that I have things back into perspective.

    Love & hugs to all

    FS xx

    Morning all

Feeling bright and breezy this morning - (it won't last). Went out for a lovely meal with friends last night - don't think I've laughed that much in ages.

Had a 20 min whip round this morning and DD's both stripped their beds as asked last night (they remembered  ) DD1 even put hers in the machine and stuck it going....she's an angel.

Just sitting here with a coffee and having a 20 mins surf time before I go make a start on the bedroom. Got all the tools in there to give it a good going over -- the vinegar mix and the hoover and a whole roll of black sacks - god help anything that lands in a black sack today. Got a couple of DVD's from a free trial rental thing this morning so am going to watch those as I'm sorting the bedroom - should make the time pass a little quicker. I'm just dreading what I find behind the furniture - not keen on spiders.

Dinner tonight will be what ever I get out the freezer in a bit - combined with what ever needs using up in the fridge (how organised am I!!! lol )

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

  • Morning :hello:

    :grouphug:to Penny-Pincher!!

Ancasta - I hope your appointment with the surgeon goes well.

kiwichick - you're not alone - every married woman I know feels inadequate in front of their MIL

Housemate is away for the weekend so I have the place to myself - hurrah!

Shame I have to be out all of tomorrow afternoon and evening (singing in a concert in Essex) so no real chance for a housework blitz and slow-cooker casserole. Will pop out in the morning for odds and ends and use up reduced veggie cannelloni for my lunch :D Hopefully get most of the rest of the to do list from last week finished up, or at the very least, the ironing (need black shirt ironed for singing in concert anyway).

Luckily I should have plenty of time for OS-ing next week, cos after tomorrow night I only have one night out (singing lesson on Monday) all week.

Will be using up last of the reduced smoked salmon this evening, doing spaghetti in a smoked salmon & cream sauce - 1 portion for me and 3 for the freezer ;)

    Have a lovely day everybody!

Morning! Ive been very busy since the flea infestation - but found the most wondorous thing in the world - a cat nit comb. She loved it! She just let me go over and over her and get them out - she would start to scratch and present me with the area - porr little thing was exhausted from all that scratching. Anyway - the combo stuff did the trick too - I went to bed at 2am, woke up at 8 am gave her a comb and there was only one dead flea on her! She's very chipper this morning, and is very affectionate. I also gave blood yesterday - but couldnt bleed. it would appear that I have wierd tiny veins and I need to make sure the biggest one on my right arm gets done next time instead of the left.

Anyway - ive already had a rent officer round this morning to check the place over for our housing benefit claim and she was really nice, I hope I didnt send her away with a flea... Anyway - Ive got an immense cleaning job today: (god I love being on Holiday!)

Vaccuum the entire house and get attachments for corner vacuuming, and going over mattresses and sofa's etc.

Dusting the entire place and going over furniture with a bit of polish

    Clean windows and windowsills

Clean all cat litter trays and food bowls etc

    Wash dishes

Put another load of laundry in and iron work stuff for next week

Put stuff up in the loft

Sort out my study and do all the admin and the annual dejunk of the bills/important documents/recipets file

    Debug my PC

This is all before 1pm. After that I need to shower and go do the food shopping, budget plan and then over to Bath for some project things. Come back, have dinner, and rest for the whole evening!

I think I have a busy one so id better stop yapping on here and crack on...

Hope you all have a lovely day..

    Jo xx
