    Morning

Very unsettled night, but keep getting very upset about our westie going tomorrow. I know its for the best but feel like im betraying him and letting him down. Really dont want him to go but know its for the best. Will he pine for us? Will he remember us?

My Mother's Westie doesn't miss her one jot when she goes to America to visit my sister although she makes a good show of abandoned distress when my Mother returns filled with guilt! This probably won't make you feel any better PP becuase it is as much about your loss as your pets. Allow yourself to feel rotten, you're entitled. I hope next week is better for you (hug)

Nicki.... do a search on the internet, I bought my dryer, a white knight condensing dryer on the internet two years ago and it was around £200 I use it on economy 7 at night, and use the collected water for my iron..........I would not be without it especially in the winter........there are only two of us, but with a family and multiple loads to dry you would soon save enough to pay for itself. I still dry clothes outside and if they are not quite dry put them on airers over the radiators, only use the dryer if the forecast is dire or on odd occasions, like now when I am under the weather, I dry the whole wash, right now its blowing a gale and I have the sheets on the line, but its a bit black over Bill's mothers so will be fetching them in shortly.

Went to Boots today as I decided to spend my Advantage points on Xmas presents. I save up the points for a whole year and managed to get 5 peoples presents with them. I was amazed that you can still have the 3 for 2 items when you pay by points. Then I went to a cafe and had a ham roll and a coffee while I read the paper. Then I came home to find I've won a competition for 2 tickets for Circus of Horrors. I'm not bothered about going to it so I've put them on ebay. I was awake coughing all night again last night so I havn't done any housework.

    Something cooked by someone else!!!!

    Actually, I love pasta carbonara:

Cook pasta - I like penne but tagliatelle and spahetti are more traditional

cut streaky smoked bacon into pieces and fry till nearly crispy

While that's cooking, beat an egg per person in a jug, add seasoning, and enough double cream to make it runny

When pasta and bacon are cooked, drain pasta then add to the bacon pan and stir to distribute fat

Add the cream and egg mixture and stir continuously as it cooks (you can turn off heat)

Once it has cooked through, serve with more black pepper.

    Yum!! and quick.
