    Good morning!

Sun was out when I woke up but seems to have vanished again, fingers crossed that it reappears later like yesterday, ds needs to mow the back garden and I was on a roll with weeding a planting (perhaps you're not the only one, was it squiggley, who's suddenly feeling like middle age has arrived as I discover a heretofore unknown desire to potter in the garden!).

Think dd3 and dd2 are going to win the os award today, they've already baked trays of cakes and decorated their fairy cakes! Plus hoovered the sitting room and loaded the dishwasher!

Need to sort out the washing, well more the clean washing that is sitting folded into piles in the utility, if I don't clear it soon the piles will start to topple onto the hound and then he'll cry - he may be big but he's not very brave! Then need to find some flea stuff for queens and kittens, found a couple on bruce last night and had to comb him much to his annoyance, though being a baby eventually he gave up meewing and fell asleep lol!

Will cook something for lunch, bbq if weather holds, and picnic tonight as we're going to see some bands in Bristol, outdoor free concert so might need waterproofs and umbrellas! Should be good and kids are looking forward to it.

Hope everyone has a good day, going to catch up now and read that bloomin remoska thread before I do anything else! xx

    Morning all

Not been in here for awhile, still having money troubles, now trying to sort out what bills we can pay and which we cant. Housing benefit not due for 4 weeks and we have no money for the rent let alone living.

Had sign on again on Weds but have only just received money from the 17th July (£36.99) how on earth do people survive on benefits? Luckily we had use of a friends motorcycle so didnt have to pay bus fare this time. And it was nice to get back on a bike, and dodge the traffic.

Mioliere - Hope you and family have a lovely day.

Will call back later, have a few pleading calls to make this morning.

    Morning all.
Well I was due to go to see my friend for the day but she had such a bad night she's taken a sleeping pill and gone back to bed.
Youngest lad is on a go-karting trip, oldest one has nipped out -back in a sec, he said an hour ago ! So, I thought I''d start one of my little craft projects for christmas but needless to say, ran out of stuff, what I was doing was very fiddly anyway so bit of a relief.
So, got to re-think my day and do anything that doesn't involve housework.............lol

Have a good day and hugs ((((((((:o ))))))) to those who need them

Good Morning Everyone! Back again after 8 days in Scotland, mostly dodging the showers (or should that be downpours???!!) Actually, the weather didn't stop us at all, and when the sun did come out it was gorgeous. Visited loads of historic houses and paddled at the edge of Loch Lomond!
Three loads of washing tring to get dry on airers in the conservatory today..
Kathy, I hope you and your family have a really happy day today.
Taplady, good luck with the appointment - have to say I felt so much better after that particular op, despite a definite weight gain!
Will try to catch up with all the news from the past week - ((HUGS)) to all who need them just now.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • Just a quick one at the moment, 2 DD's back home from Bognor last night, got to get loads of washing done (2 loads out already) as they're off again at the crack of dawn tomorrow for another week away at their nan's.

Good luck Kathy today, the sun has come out here at the moment - hope you all have a wonderful day & can't wait to see the pictures :)

((((((hugs))))) to all those needing them & welcome to the newbies :)

    Catch up later.

PS - mummysaver, not me finding a passion for gardening, can't remember who that was - but if my garden was half-way under control then I probably would potter :)

Edit: Welcome back Beemuzed & I agree Taplady, I had that op 6 years ago (age 33) not through choice, but would heartily recommend it!!!!!

    Morning all

Big hugs to all who want and need them :grouphug: ...
    Mioliere for the wedding
    Essex-girl for her holiday
    Taplady for her appointment
Celyn for her headache - try taking 2 ibruprofen, drinking some cocal-cola and eating something made with brown bread. Always works for me!
Pink for her DD's travelling and results
Charlie'sMum for the weather (and for the hope of discovering the scales are broken or something)
    Reverie for the job hunt
...and anyone I missed. I'm still half asleep

Jammyannie, I am jealous, my cukes are still pretty skinny and only a couple of inches long
I am so tired. Someone should have told us before that futons are so uncomfortable  It's a wonder that any of our houseguests have ever come back! I'll have to do something about that. I'm going to try his fishing bed tonight to see if it's any comfier.
Haven't slept much, and of course because I was awake I ended up checking on Dave's every single moan and groan. He seems okay, he has some pain even with the meds, but he's dealing with it well. Poor thing, he's never ill, he's frustrated at not being able to do more about it. we've had a few minor disasters with the cat trying to climb on him and make it better, but I think I've persuaded him to sit quietly by Dave's side instead.
I have to try him on plain food now, if he doesn't eat or can't keep his liquids up he'll have to go back into hospital. Drinking is harder, the sachets I got told to put in the water taste vile so he won't drink them, so the doctor said to try him on just water. I made him plain scrambled eggs this morning, he has kept them down okay so far. I'm going to do him some HM chicken soup a little later. Thanks for the continued love and support for him (and me) xx

I went and picked about 4lb of blackberries this morning - we've got them all around the edge of our garden (good anti-climbing device) - I've put them all in the freezer for now. OH loves making wine so I'll leave that for him, and I'm not in the mood for the hassle of making anything else right now. Nothing else in the garden is at picking stage right now, other than the lettuce and spring onions that are always at the picking stage. I'm having to stay disciplined and not pick the immature peas as mangetout!

So I think I'm going to clear out the kitchen cupboards today and maybe update the aminopyralid website. The BBC still haven't given a definite yes, but they went and interviewed one of the blokes I put them in contact with (the poor guy contaminated his entire allotment with the stuff ) and he said they've all signed the petition to ban it. So I think that's a positive sign!

    Hugs to all

    Silver xx
