OS Daily Friday 8th of August

Sunnyday

This is the Daily Thread for Friday 8th of August 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning peeps
day off today but it will be a non stop day as i`ve lots to do and visitors later so i need a head start. DH is still in bed but will be up soon and off to w*rk so that once he`s out of the way i`ll have a clear run at all the clutter.
The weather is nasty cold and rainy so i hope that we have a day like yesterday where it started out horrible like this and then turns out lovely and sunny later.
Mioliere - I hope the weather is good in your area and that you have a marvellous day, enjoy every minute!
Silver Charming - Great news that Dave is home and on the mend :T
PenPin - ((((HUGS)))) for you hope you`re a bit better today and that your carer is back and getting her life sorted out, horrible things always seem to happen to the nicest of people.
Well if the weather improves i need to harvest potatoes, radishes and spring onions today, oh and i thing it`s about time that the lettuce came up too so i shall have a few empty pots and things later to plant more in, fingers crossed for the rain to stop.
I could spend the next few hours here but i`m not going to, the wm and bm are still on but the dw has just finished s i`ll make a start on emptying that and then as i won`t have time to do it i need to find a hiding place for my huge pile of ironing
Off to the grind, catch up later guys.
Have a great Friday.

Hello Possums,
Moiliere Hope today goes well for everyone. It's a very lucky day today. 8/8/08. Do you have waterproof mascara?
Bookie & Jayward Happy belated Birthday. I'll raise a wine tonight when I'm out and think of you.
CM Have a great holiday. Don't forget to send me some pics.
Been very busy lately being Ninny. I've had today free though so I've caught up with a few things. DH just got home and we are going to the Bowls Club for tea again. Oh the excitement. :rolleyes:I expect I"ll have the fish again.
I finished my second dress, which is slightly better than the first.
Spending the day with DD tomorrow. Off to have lunch & watch Mama Mia, here I go again, My My how can I resist you.
Will report back later. I've typed enough rubbish for now. Hope you all have a lovely day & <hugs> to those not well. I have a few days of threads to catch up on. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi Sunnyday and all who follow. I am up early and drinking copious amounts of tea to help me concentrate on the big day today. Just in case I had not told you, my DS2 is getting married today! Have I mentioned it at all lately?!!
I can't really focus on one thing at a time at the moment. DS2 emailed me his speech last night and asked me to print it off (his printer is on the blink) but not to read it! Anyway, I did as I was told and sealed it in an envelope without looking at it and I have to take that over to him this morning, then pick up the buttonholes and do about ten other things. My car is gleaming (DH and his brother's efforts - not mine), ready for the bridesmaids' journey to church. The sun is trying to come out - but, if it doesn't, it won't spoil the day, and I have all my loved ones either here in my house or dotted around the various hotels in the area!
Well, I'd better go and have my shower before everyone else gets up. If I get another chance on here, I'll pop back.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and (((hugs))) to you all.

Good Morning
Mioliere. enjoy yourself and have a fantastic time.
Aussie - you will love Mama Mia such a feel good film.
Well we are off at lunchtime to Pontins for a long weekend. Most stuff is packed just need to do the toiletries after Ive showered etc. As normal I have had to pack clothes for chilly wet weather, ok weather and hot weather though I think the hot weather clothes will stay in the suitcase. It doesnt matter that much there though as there is so much to do.
One problem though I had a sore eye yesterday and have woken with a lovely swollen one this morning! Does look very appealing.
Need to do some invoicing this morning and then ring Lakeland as my Remoska didnt turn up yesterday as promised. Other than that cant wait till we go.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
