Just got renewal notice from Tesco Pet Insurance - can't believe the monthly premium has gone up again. I have a ten year old cat and they now want £16.23 per month which seem so expensive - wonder if I should now look around for a better deal as she has no pre-existing conditions.0

EDIT: Posted before seeing the question was answered on the next page

Primmer, tesco isnt for life and if you havent any pre existing conditions and be aware any visit to the vet will be questioned
then have a good look round to see if there is a better deal but make sure its a for life policy this time. 0 -
Have read through quite a bit of this thread. My daughter has been begging us for a dog for 2 years. We used to have dogs years ago and cannot believe the difficulty in buying insurance! From what I have read Axa is a good choice as it has life cover. However the price is huge, working out at just over £25 a month. Is this the only option? We are looking at buying a Chow Chow, but don't want to go ahead till we know we can afford it.
Any help appreciated.

Try NFU. They are time unlimited, and cut AXA by about £7 a month. Please do check that it is like for like or close.0 -
If ever I needed reminding why we pay insurance - just went to pick one of mine up from groomers. Met someone who said their daughter's 5 month oldJR pup is today having a liver operation at the Newmarket Vet hosptial - "several thousand pounds". I asked her which insurer her daughter was with - she shook her head, "that was something on their "to do" list"0

I am going to have to stay with More Than, rang the vets today and I had forgotten about the ear infection that my dog had a year or so ago. I can't take the chance of changing and not being covered for any other ear infections if my dog gets it again and it's more serious!
Thanks for all your advice.0 -
I can't see where to click to start a new thread so hoping some kind soul will advise me if this post goes to the wrong place. Did look through threads but couldn't see my question. All I want to get for my dog is liability insurance in case she causes a road or another type of accident I am not bankrupted. I am not interested in the health insurance aspect of pet insurance. Thanks. Sydneyr0
