Morning to all you you choccy, coccy ( :D ) and smoker giving uppers! Good luck with your extra challenges. We really are such good wholesome people!! :A

Well my dad is struggling with money and needs the £400 i owe him. He is often out and away for weekends, so i hadn't realised how much he needs it and feel really guilty now. I've added him to my sig and paid £30 today. I've also added £1 to my savings ;)

I'm off to spend my nectar vouchers and post office card savings on a DS for my little one for Christmas. It's such a good feeling being able to do that without breaking the bank.

YAY for PaD and the focus it has given me :T
One step at a time ;)
  • struggling with PAD this month - some little **********'s tried to break in and broke the back door and the back gate. Paid for emergency repairs and everything very secure!! but now broke!!!!.
Will leave this month and start again next month - hope their little hands drop off - apparently 4 houses/garages been done in the last week. Have taken all Xmas pressies I have already bought to relatives houses so nothing left in house.

    GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!

Ha! I'm loving the new smilies Terri they're soo cool!

Sunny Donny, i'm sorry too, that you've had to pay for the damage. Things like that make my blood boil  To me it signifies laziness and complete disrespect when people think they can swagger into other people's properties and take what they want instead of going out and freaking working / paying for it themselves like everyone else. As Terri says, at least you and your family are now safe and secure.

Argos didn't know how to use my PO savings card so have put the amount on my credit card. When hubby pays me i can use the PO card for my sainsbury's shop and put the cash back on my credit card - phew!! Hope that makes sense to someone :rotfl:

Anyway, i will be test driving the DS tonight when Nintendo DS in bed - i can't wait :j but it is a present for him...honest :D

Just fell of the DFW waggon..........

Bought a bottle of wine for this evening.

Wife works full time and has got a pub job at weekends - bless her - to earn a few extra pennies.

She works so hard, i thought id do something for her. So am going to cook a lovely roast dinnner and share a bottle of wine.

The wine was 3.99 on offer, so not so bad - and the best bit - i used one of the self serve till in tescos (god I hate those things, they are FOREVER going wrong!), and the person in front left their receipt.

It was a 5p off fuel coupon! Wahay! Will need fuel on friday, 70 litres 5p off a litre = a 3.50 saving, therefore wine only cost me .49p!

Had no heating on again all yesterday, watched a box set of Heroes in candlelight last night (no popcorn this time!).

Got thursday off this weekend to take my daughter to a midwifery trial day in Worcester, so will make sure I make sandwhiches to take with me, and a flask of tea........

Have seriously been thinking of selling one of my two motorbikes, but i just cannot bring myself to do it. Its my one real pleasure (actually, I have a number of pleasures, most of them associated with ladies bottoms:rotfl: )

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good afternoon..........im off to peel some potatoes!

    Debt-free and Proud!
thought a PO savings card could only be used for paying bills at the post office...car tax etc?
  • Day 9 - Sunday

£1.15 saved on Petrol. I had a "5p off a litre of petrol" voucher last time I went to Tesco but it had to be used by today. I haven't fathomed my new car out yet but I have 5 "bars" of petrol on the meter and I was down to 2 bars so didn't need any petrol but thought I might as well take advantage of the 5p off (spent £22)
£0.09 - bought milk from farm shop instead of Tesco.
£0.77 - usually buy juice for school in 2 packs of three at £65p each, but I got 9 cartons of Tesco value fresh orange for £1.09 so this is the difference
£0.19 - courgettes worked out at 19p cheaper at the Farm Shop than Tesco.

    £2.20

Might have an excitingly large payment in a few minutes but I daredn't tempt fate by talking about it yet.
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23
