Morning peeps had my first lie in in 2yrs today. My little un slept in till 8 n it was lovely:p .
Last nights take away was v dissapointing, didint enjoy it at all. Blaming this thread entirely;) .
Anyhoo last night got a sales call - normally dont listen but they were giving home n contents quotes and as mine has just shot up by £13 a month i thought i'd let them see what they can do. N guess what they said my monthly payment to them would be £23. They're sending me info to look over but sound loads better than current supplier. That would be an extra £14 towards my cc!!!
gonna count up my change jar today, i've hopefully got £10 in there ready to be bagged for when i pop to town on monday morning.

    have a good weekend everyone
I have just used gocompare and got a new quote from churchill for £105. I was paying £41 a month!!!!! Somewhere on here there is a good article about home insurance........i.e the re build cost calculator etc. Good luck!

Morning all, I wish I had a mortgage :(. These cuts are rubbish for me as I'm saving for a deposit.

Anyway... I've added £7.35 to my ISA which is the profit I got from selling a ring I made on etsy. I should probably get dressed so I can go to the post office... I also got review of the day on dooyoo the other day, so I've made about £8 on there in three or so days. When I get to £50 I'll get it paid as cash & stick it in my ISA.
    Finally bought a home

Since my last posting yesterday , I have :-

Cancelled my Ryanair Credit Card ( trfd bal. to my RBS a couple of mths ago as lower rate!). And now stops temptation of spending on it again!:T

Trf some of my VIRGIN balance to HSBC & CAP 1 card as I got a 0% offer through post yesterday for six months on HSBC. Even though not full amount they both have a lower APR than VIRGIN. I also checked my Snowball to see if any change and its reduced my DFD by another three months, so that has to be a positive move.
Am just trying to reduce the interest I'm getting charged on VIRGIN:mad: as my min pymts are getting eaten up by these alone!

I have made a pymt today to HSBC c/c by £1.91

And put aside £10 into my Savings acct.

And finally made £10.99 on E Bay, selling a cardigan that was stuck in my wardrobe so will trf across to c/acct

Anyway hope you all have a good weekend. Just loved reading the posts from yesterday, some very funny !! keep them rolling.:rotfl:

  • Today is the big give up smoking day.

In honour I'm paying £5.65 (cost of a packet of fags) to the Halifax OD. Still can't believe this debt is the most expensive. Check out the interest of your OD's guys if you haven't already. Have a great day.

WOW! Good luck to you, are you going cold turkey, or do you have patches / tablets etc.. I'm glad I never gave up smoking, I know I wouldn't have had the willpower to ever give it up.
