  • Day 8 (Saturday)

I did my sums this morning and have got £545 per month spare after everything is paid, and that is for food, petrol and all other non-direct-debit related expenses including anything the kids need, so I think that is a really healthy manageable amount!

I managed to squeeze in 2.5 hours overtime last night so that will be £22 extra in my December wage.

I need to do some shopping today so I am going to write a list, and estimate how much it will cost me, then whatever the difference is that will go in my overdraft fund.

I'm also going to ring Sky later on today and cancel my multi-room (£10) and Sky Sports (£18)

Mobile phone contract is up in February so that will also save me £30 per month.

I also read on this site, and then on a news website that Scottish Widows ARE going to pass on the interest cut to customers, I dont know how much that will save me but I'm hoping about £40? (mortgage is £86k)

I think :money:said on GMTV yesterday that it is about £40 per 0.5% for a £100K mortgage.

I've altered the pending payment from Halifax so £4 is going to the evil loan which will cover today and tomorrow.

    £1 to cap 1 too.

Wow, chuffing heck!! So, that's £120 for a £100k mortgage, so 86% of £120 is £103??? Surely not, that sounds far too high! (I was never any good at Maths)

*secretly hopes it is right and that Scottish Widows pass on the rate quickly*

Morning peeps had my first lie in in 2yrs today. My little un slept in till 8 n it was lovely:p .
Last nights take away was v dissapointing, didint enjoy it at all. Blaming this thread entirely;) .
Anyhoo last night got a sales call - normally dont listen but they were giving home n contents quotes and as mine has just shot up by £13 a month i thought i'd let them see what they can do. N guess what they said my monthly payment to them would be £23. They're sending me info to look over but sound loads better than current supplier. That would be an extra £14 towards my cc!!!
gonna count up my change jar today, i've hopefully got £10 in there ready to be bagged for when i pop to town on monday morning.

    have a good weekend everyone
