This month have deceided to change my attention from my credit card to my overdraft as that is the smallest debt: I have set up a standing order for £5 per month to go straight to the overdraft and then save up all my odds and ends of money to pay extra: I have £8.50 extra so far. My budget is tight at the moment i don't think i'll be able to make any huge payments but at least i will be chipping away at it! :)

  • £1.50 for me today plus the little extra I threw in at the end of last week so up to £5.35 so far extra to pay off mortgage at end of month. Going to have a clean out of flat on Friday so will be able to add any change I find to it. Hoping to hit about an extra £30 by end of the month, which means as my overpayments are £200 a month I will be able to pay it off a month and a half early. When you think of it like that

Hi all - hope everyone is well.

£10 paid towards the HSBC CC today, already paid off the interest they added last thursday so that means all my payments now are an added bonus!

I too am going christmas shopping today, but the credit card is staying at home and i am only taking my debit card - thats a first for me!!!

Hope everyone has a good day on this wet and miserable afternoon.

  • Afternoon everyone,

Paid £15 to Next, £12.50 to Catalogue and £12.25 to Cap 1 today as I had some money left over from the weekend and the weekly shop.

Was naughty over the weekend and ordered something on my Next account to be delivered to my local store (some clothes for Niamh which she doesnt actually need as she has so much), so am not going to collect it, and it will be credited back to my account.

Its absolutely miserable here, have been trying to cut down my Tumble Dryer usage but have got it on today as I need to get the bedding dry.

  • after reading how well everyone is doing i have decided to give the "payment a day" ago. i have about £150 on my choice account and about £400 on my credit card so hopefully will not take that long to clear even if i just pay a few pounds a day.

does anyone know how many payments you can make to choice catalogue in one month?

    Welcome to PaD.

I think I am right in saying that creditors cant refuse your payments. I have an account with Additions and I made 31 payments last month :rotfl:
