Back again, decided to pay off littlewoods which is on my dmp i just paid £1.90 bringing my balance to £210.00

was wondering is it not better to put the money into a savings account/tin instead of putting it towards a debt and then when you have loads maybe ask for a final settlement fee?

Welcome mumzyof2. I'm also on a DMP and I just save money to an ISA that I opened. My intention is to save and then offer either full and finals or just to make extra payments into my dmp. So far, though, I've used what I've saved to get the bank accounts straight and pay off the overdraft.

Hopeful1 - that's fantastic:T . It's really exciting to see others paying off their debts. I love it!!

I was going to pay towards my dmp but then i thought well if they see im paying more each month they will up my total and i may not be able to afford that each month. Im hoping to quit smoking soon so i will transfer that to a savings account with money i save and i also might just start doing what you do with your ISA
