Sock monkeys!

Ok - I gave in and bought some socks for monkeys this afternoon - £2 for 3 pairs in instore.

haven't told OH what they're for as he already thinks I'm in danger of losing the plot :rotfl:

I don't often go to this shop as I don't drive but if I do go there and they have them I will get some for u. They were down to 50p and they only had a few pairs!!!!

First time sockoholic as well. He looks like he has a boil on his forehead:D Am going to make some clothes for him eventually. Does anyone else find that the socks fray a bit while trying to stitch the limbs together. I cut it out wrongly so it was a bit of make do and mend jobbie:rolleyes:

Loving all the new monkey's everyone, well done:beer:

Here is a pic of the new monkey I did yesterday (on the left) I am giving these 2 as gifts. I thought I would put them in these gift boxes and then wrap in cello. I've also put shredded pink tissue paper in the bottom and will put a bag of sweet bananas in with them:D



I showed a friend of mine these and she has ordered one:eek: I was really chuffed at first that someone would be willing to pay for one of my monkeys but now I have no idea what to charge for them

Stardrops those monkeys are beautful, I love them. Like the idea of the bananas thats an inspirational idea:D Those hats are so cute, might copy that for my monkey if ya don't mind. Well done on getting an order, its so nice that other people appreciate your work that they are willing to pay for it.

Thanks pennib:D I must admit making the hats, scarves etc is my favourite part, I love dressing them up:D
