First attempt at sock monkey went wrong so had to unpick it.

Second attempt went more wrong, but I only realised after cutting I'd sewn up the wrong way.

Third attempt went ok until the stuffing, which was impossible, and then I couldn't figure out how to make the arms.

Now he has 2 (short) arms, a tail, an ear and nothing else coz I got fed up.

I am going to make a sock monkey. I have socks. I have no stuffing though :(

Just use a pillow or cushion for stuffing.

I like the cow sockie. A very well written tutorial.

Don't give up Juno it will all suddenly click and away you go. You're nearly there :D

I'm going to go to a charity shop later and see what that have - either cushions or teddies.

  • Is there a certain way to wrap sock animals? I dont want mine to be seen by the recipients but I also dont want the animals to end up squashed and miss-shaped. Box is the obvious one that comes to mind, wrapped in xmas paper?
