Apart from black, plain coloured socks seem hard to come by. Hope that you get your socks and we can see a photo of your sock frog.

I'm sure wilkinsons had a pack of ladies socks which included a turquoise and green (sorry cant remember the other colours) but this was in the summer.
    They may have some left.
  • Hi all !

Need some help please. I am going to make my dd2 an orange (fav colour) sock animal. The only orange socks I could find were knee high with lace cuffs. Its the lace cuffs I am having problems with as to ideas. Should I just cut the lace off and continue as normal? Or can they be included somehow?
The patterns I have done so far are the monkey, cat, dog (sausage), cow and horse.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello all :)

I'm making sock monkeys this year to sell for christmas, can anyone tell me how much they sell theirs for ... i'm having trouble pricing it so it's worthwhile doing them and yet doesn't put people off with the prices too high?!

Hiya, No didn't think of tutu! I was thinking though if I did a sock dog it could be used as a collar? Thing is the lace is about 2'/2- 3 '' so thought that might be a bit too big for collar. If not I could use the lace for some other project. Thanks for the tutu idea :)

You're welcome. I used hair bobbles with ribbon on them like some others on the thread as tutus and thats what gave me the idea :)

  • Ok so as the orange socks I have are knee length with the cuff on top I decided to have a rough attempt on one of my DHs football socks. Totally went wrong lol. The dogs head was too big so at least I know this for when I do the proper one hehe
