    I have done loads of sock monkeys by hand. Just make sure you use small stiches and double thread for strength.

    i have one last random question as i sit with everythin in front of me when you say double thread do you split the norm threads or keep them as one whole and double that?

    also do you cut the legs before or after sewing and the rubbish basic diagram that came with the kit shows cutting before

    I use ordinary thread doubled personally.
    I would also sew all pieces before sewing as socks fray easily.:eek:

    well after 3.5 hours all i have left to do is his mouth ears and eyes there is def loads 2 improve on i can see that already lol but hopefully the mouth eyes and ears wont be 2 much trouble i will try and upload a pic when he is done x

    When you turn the monkey inside out the stitches and knots will be on the inside of the monkey so the seams will be neat on the outside. (iyswim)

    i managed to work it out here is my 1st ever sock monkey i def think i need to learn loads more the camera hides the stitching would be great to hear feedback on my lil monkey

    thank you so much was so worried bout it i still need 2 figure out how 2 do tighter neater stitchin as the pic doesnt show the stitchin n odd lil knot i am hooked but ran out of stuff only brought enough for the one so gotta get more stuff in any recommendations as 2 basics i will need like threads etc etc
