    pigpen; You don't hang about do you! You will find that the more you do the quicker you get. I got my sewing machine from Tesco one of the cheapest they have and I've had no problems with it. Does all the basic stitches I've really hammered it as well. (you get clubcard points as well)

    pennib I dont use patterns for anything. not even my other sewing makes. i tend to just make it up as i go along.

    a bit of snipping here and there and it usually works out ok. lol

    well done pinkpig but your only allowed on this thread if you show pictures of the finished monkey. we are a pretty nice bunch and dont criticise at all. lol

    Pinkpig; No, don't get a small one they arn't worth it, you will out grow it in no time (if it doesn't break!)

    Leasnow; How fabby is that taggy it's gorgeous. The colours are really zingy.

    I thought I would show you my very first monkey that I made a number of years ago now. As you can see he has a bump in his forehead! I have tweaked my monkeys quite a lot since then and added various bits and bobs. (also handed stuffing duties over to dd as she can do it brilliantly with no lumps and bumps!)
    Like I say too people when they first set out on their monkey journey and they arn't happy with the results, practise...practise :T But children like all shapes and sizes so no monkey is the wrong monkey :j
