Rusty - I got some of those hair things in Primark - 4 for a £1. Very pretty and just right for a skirt for the monkey!!! Nice colours, pink, turquoise, white and purple. Thanks for that!!!

Glad you found them ok. I want to go back for some more for the little one. OH thinks I am mad for putting things in her hair when she is only 16 months but she has hair halfway down her back so why shouldn't I. I picked up a pink and purple halloween type 1 in asda they are RRP £1.50 but mine was hald price as the packaging was damaged.

I'm off to Rhodes today so no monkeys for me for a whole week!!!!

I'm either brave, or foolish guys.

We're going to stay with a friend at the weekend, and it's a new house, so I'm taking a housewarming gift, and as she is mad on octopuses, so I've decided to make her (and her partner) his and her soctopuses - wish me luck!

I have yet to make a sock monkey but did buy some socks today so might have a go. sewing's not my strong point though:rotfl:

You're brave. And insane! I've done two socktopuses (socktopi?) and they both drove me mad! Good luck

I've got an octo-body with 4 legs, but I've had to give up on the other four legs for now, because my sewing machine is a pain in the... well, it keeps jamming and I can't work out why, so I've given up for the night. Friend might get a box of chocolates instead, and a soctopus for Christmas...
