Sock monkeys!

Oh I have just got back from a rather major shopping trip! I now have socks and the filling ready to attempt to make a sock monkey! fingers crossed everyone!! p.s its very easy to spend A LOT of money in Hobbycraft!

Can I just say I had to do a double take, the pink stripey monkeys foot or tail is misplaced badly under the green monkey:rotfl: Sorry to notice but I couldn't help it but it did give me a laugh:o

Thank you Shelley-yes ive been busy with them but its kind of theraputic for me living in a house full of men/boys, its nice to do something girly lol.

I love that everyone is making gorgeous sock monkeys.
Ok. So I've never even sewed on a button LOL, but do you think I'd be able to make 25 piratey looking sock monkeys by July 2009 (by hand as I don't have a machine) ??
LOL - My son will be having a pirate party next year and thought these would make nice gifts for the kids instead of all the usual plasticky rubbish.
What do you think ?
I am determined to learn to sew !!! I'd like to make DS a superhero cape too LOL
