    Thank you so much for the links...I never found those when I was looking on the site. Wow is the word, yes they are expensive! My Mum would go made if she knew I had spent £15 on a pair of socks to make a sock monkey out of for her. They are not even the patterns I had in mind so thats okay, I now can rest assured that they don't make the socks in the pattern I thought they did:T Saved me a bomb that has :D

    I'm just going to get the pictures off my camera so I can show you all the two union jack monkeys I've made. I was hoping to get the third finished today but with the kids off school and me not being able to sew a stitch right for some reaseon, I gave up. I will try again tomorrow.

    meggielo - they are great.

    here are my latest 2. The cow one was really the first proper one i had to make 'upside down' but i think i did improve a bit witht he monkey one. shame she is so pink as my youngest would love her!!!

    Wow, what amazing sock monkeys. I'm thinking of having a go. Is there any particular set of instructions that people have found the best/easiest to follow??

    I've been lurking here for a while, and have read most of the forum whilst sewing my monkey! It's for my friend who is rather monkey and bat mad :)

    I get mine on ebay. Usually ends up about 60p a pair depending on the seller and whats about at the time. but my mum seems to think she can get them cheaper from her local shop so we will see....

    got 2 xmas ones to do and another elf!!! and a santa and finish a girl elf and 2 angels ones to do. all before monday!!! :eek: thankfully all but 3 are started so shouldnt take to long to finish. i hope!!! :p

    i just found out i need to be careful with what patterned socks i use, got upside down penguines ha ha :)

    I'm sure the 4 yrld who its for wont mind lol :)
