Hi everyone, I've never posted on here but have read pretty much the whole thread for inspiration before starting my first sock monkeys!!!

They're not exactly perfect but hopefully I'll get better as I go along! Might stick to fluffy socks as I am sewing by hand and they hide a multitude of sins!

Thanks everyone for all your ideas, keep up the sock monkeying :)

They are both fab but i do love the fluffy one :-)

just need to finish the eyes and mouth on my second one, sent hubby for some socks and he paid a fortune for them (£1.99 pair) so will keep them for cupcakes :-)

nervousftb; That is a lovely blue monkey you've made, and little softy one and they are both hand sewn, wouldn't
    even attempt to do that!

it did take me an absolute age and my sewing is terrible! Don't think I have a career in monkey-making :rotfl:

Just wanted to make a couple of practice ones as my aim is to make a pink one for my sister who is due to give birth in a couple of weeks. Just got to keep a look out for some nice pink fluffy socks now!

Gorgeous monkeys everyone. Peacocks have fluffy pink sockes with white spots that I made a sock monkey out of.

Ive finished two union jack monkeys as christmas presents and have one more in the making. I'm looking for a pair of long Cath Kidston socks with a floral pattern on them to make one for my Mum but I don't seem to be able to find any. Do they exsist? My Dad I think will love his union jack sock monkey that is probably going to be holding a gift voucher and wrapped up in cello with a bow:D
