  • I use stuffing from Dunelm mills - it comes in 1 kg bags and they have just increased the price to £6.99. It is also a bit hit and miss as to whether it is going to be nice and fluffy or slightly harder. If I get it myself I have a good feel before buying, but if I rely on my 19yr son to get it - I can't see him giving it a good squeeze before buying - it is about as much as I can do to persuade him to buy me 4 or 5 bags when he is passing.
  • I use about 160g per monkey made out of ladies socks. They are really really well stuffed and very smooth. I find the more stuffing you use the smoother and better looking they are. I buy from either dunelm or ebay. My local craft shop has stopped selling it :( Booo.

Not posted much recently, ive so many orders to get out in time for christmas!! Ill be sewing in my sleep soon :) Lovely monkeys as usual everyone x

I don't have any knitting needles! I'm currently using the end of a chunky kids paintbrush, but it's just not the same as my dear little stuffing stick. It's like a bereavement for me... I really loved that stick :( Each time I am ready to stuff a new monkey I have to pull myself together and psyche myself up to face using the paintbrush :D:rotfl:
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j
  • I use chunky knitting needles as stuffing sticks.

Stock up on them from the local charity shops at 20-50p per pair because I manage to snap them sometimes. I wish I could get some of the old metal ones, but have only seen thin ones so far.
