oh they're all gorgeous, I started my first one today- he's a bit lumpy and very homemade looking but I'm a bit in love with him already
he currently has a tail and one arm, and the other bits are waiting to be attached, my son (13 months) just woke for a feed and I'm now sat in bed with him asleep next to me and wondering whether to stay up and sew his other arm and ears on- I've no idea what I'm going to use for eyes yet mind you, so he will be blind for now :rotfl:
Hoping to get money smart enough to avoid working full time and paying extortionate money to a stranger for the privilege of enjoying my two beautiful children for 40+hrs a week until my son is 3 and my daughter starts school in 20120 -

I think I may nip into the market and buy some socks so that I can have a go.
Can someone please tell me, are you buying kids socks or adult sized ones?

SB44 I buy adults knee length/over the knee socks as I like spider monkeys! They have very long legs, arms and tails. A lot of people on here tend to use ladies ankle socks but people have used all types of socks! It really depends on how big you want your monkey. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

thanks shelley. you seem to be very busy yourself.
i haven't been too well so sitting and making monkeys has kept me occupied these last few weeks, I just NEVER get bored making em cos each one is diff and seems to develop its own character.
did have a play day tho and that when i made the snowladies
and now just bought a new do it all sewing machine. so need to find time to play with all the diff stitches..
happy monkey making day everyone..
back soon xx0 -
Shelley - I machine sew using the invisible thread, and use the invisible stuff to sew all the limbs on (I find you do have to pull it quite tight though!) but for the arms and ears, I do use normal cotton (I hand stich the arms and ears as I aint to clever with my machine yet lol) I have to finish an order of three this weekend, so off I go
