Just a flying visit from me I am surrounded in monkey skins and having a productive day today for a change. No distractions - bliss!

Here is a pic of Dylan who I have made as gift for my friend's son's birthday on Sunday. I am going to wrap him up with either some sweets of a new book can't decide yet.

.....you would go to bed dreaming of them!

I practically did this. Spidey has a friend now (will get pics up later) and they both toppled off the shelf above my bed and landed on my head last night! :rotfl:

gorgeous monkeys everyone!! i made three for the BBC children in need at my DD school and the raffle tickets were all sold out!

what strong thread would you recommend to use for these sockmonkeys?
I am determined to lose weight!:kisses3:
Weight loss so far 2 stones 6lbs!! :j:j
  • I just use normal white cotton thread. Does the job! It was 60p for a reel in boyes.

I use nylon thread - its see through and has a bit of stretch to it, something that works great with socks as they have a lot of stretch too! In my local dun elm, its £1.09 for 2 reels in clear and a transparent black.. HTH xx

I hadnt a clue about it til I asked my mum to machine sew me some monkeys up, and she sent me down two reels of the stuff, I must say it is great stuff, specially if you stuff your monkey by the cr*tch as when sewing the hole up, you can see the thread :) xx
