Sock monkeys!

I`m just working on the next one which I`m going to dress up a bit more.

craftlady - are you not selling at the craft market because someone else is or because of their prices.

I wouldn`t know what to charge someone if they asked

Cost wise is the socks , stuffing and embellishments plus packaging either cello or gift bag....

My hubby`s best mate came round with his little girl and she was walking around with a half finished monkey ie body and legs and calling it monkey and putting it to bed under a dishcloth! It was so sweet!

Anyway hubby`s full of cold so had a nap this afternoon and when he woke up the finished monkey was sitting on top of my craft books and he couldn`t believe it. He said he had wondered how exactly it was going to be a monkey... but was really impressed that she was made out of a pair of socks.

I`m going to try and make a few more this weekend and will most prob go sock shopping tommorrow! The socks used for todays monkey were from Sainsburys and they "fell in" the trolley this morning when I was doing the weekly food shop!;)

These are the ones I made for my friends' wedding. They have velcro joining their hands


(I don't like their eyes but I can't find the right buttons anywhere

And these are the most recent 2 that I made for a friend and her boyfriend. I think the girl one is the best yet, think it's all about really stuffing the muzzle part

Finished my second one today her name is "Tallulah".



I got some more socks today, but this time got blue ones to do some boy sock monkeys.

Its so much fun!
