Sian - loving your monkeys - stripey socks work really well!!! Yeh I think you're right that its all about stuffing the muzzle right - I need to stuff it more next time I think!

Princesspoppypop - awwww Tallulah is adorable - really pretty colours!! I agree that naming is very important!

Well - I've been out today and bought about 7 or eight pairs of socks!! LOL!! Guess I'll be making more sock monkeys then!! A couple of kids socks so will be making dinky sock monkeys (for my nephews!). Can't wait to get started!

I'm addicted!

Have finished monkey no.2 today!I cant work out how to show you all them-got them in photo box and no idea what to do next!

Thanks - yes me too - I'm planning to do a valentine sock monkey for my OHs hamper and want to use these socks - was thinking of actually doing two but for each one mixing the socks up - so that one has got 'hearts' body and then red limbs and muzzle and then the other one has got 'red' body and 'hearts' limbs and muzzle - what do people think about that - would it look ok do you think? The hearts are good on this paire because they go both ways so won't all be upside down - wanted to start these today but my OH is snowed in and underfoot!!



Also, I'd like know what everyone thinks I should do about these socks - basically it was only when I got home and did my first sock monkey that I realised that the writing would be upside down!! So am now thinking that maybe I should use them to make clothes - ie a hat and a vest type thing and just buy another pair of socks to make the actual sock monkey but just get them in colours to match these ones - whaddya think? Its for an 11 year old girl and I think she'd love her name to be on it so really want to use them somehow if I can - all ideas welcome please...
