  • I've got the Stupid Sock Creatures book but was a bit dissapointed with it - but seeing yours donna73 I might have another go. I did buy another sock book this week though which is really cute called Stray Sock Sewing and I've also got Sock & Glove Book which I really like too. Now I just need more hours in the day (and someone else to do all the housework);)

I am worried they are going to look rubbish! My husband thinks I am mad already!!
  • 7 pairs of girls socks size 4-6 (36-42) for 3.99 at B&M bargains, a chain of discount shops which has taken over quite a few Woolworths stores. Socks are mainly pink and black, various designs, butterflies, stripes, flowers and plain colours.

Uh oh, I guess I'm going to be spending the weekend making them up into monkeys;)

I don't know if this helps anyone, but i've been managing to get stuffing really cheap from my local scrap store in plymouth. Businesses and individuals can drop off unwanted stuff to be recycled and you pay just £1.50 for a carrier bag of whatever you want, ours has huge variety of things including fabric, thread ,wool etc all good for crafting could be worth trying to find out if there's one in your area? :)

This photo is quite bad - I cant work out the settings on my new camera - my friend is going to help me out with some photography tips. In the flesh.. or sock I should say - the monkey is a lovely pale green and soft lemon shade -perfect for a little ones bedroom.

princesspoppypop - well done she's very cute.

I went to a craft market today and some one was selling sock monkeys for between £6 - £15. Won't be selling mine there then;)
