Hi all - a quick one again; I haven't had much time on here today.

    Happy Birthday Csarina.

    (((Hugs))) to all in need.

Now the phone's ringing - see you later.

Oh it's something probably most people here wouldn't find interesting, it's about a herbicide called aminopyralid. It's so potent that - how to put this politely? - it passes through cows and horses unscathed. Then when gardeners put infected manure on their crops, they all die. It hasn't happened to me personally, but I got involved in campaigning and I've been trying to get the national media involved for ages. Then someone on greenfingered suggested a programme and they're really interested, so fingers crossed!

Oh I think I had read something about this on the greenfingered board, do let us know if the BBC are going to do something, well done x

    Evening all
I have been very naughty at the Matalan Sale. It didn't help that dd(19) was encouraging me with a "go on Mum - you deserve it" - she is the devil on my shoulder. I bought shoes. I never wear girl shoes. I wear doc martens but I have bought girl shoes, earings, two work trousers and 8 tops all for 70 odd quid. Some of the things in the half price sale have been further reduced but in secret so the nice lady at the checkout let me check all the prices of some maybes just to see if they'd gone down a bit more. All the time dd was saying "go on Mum" but I did reject two things. We have also discussed my hair which is going to be brown with red slices whatever the hoody they are and my eyebrows which just won't do apparantly. I think that dd has come to the conclusion that I've been single for too long. Either that or she's worried she might be stuck with me as i slide into senility.

exbil says that he tried to take dd(11) and her cousins out in the plane but it was a bit cloudy so they turned back. tomorrow they are going to see Dirty Dancing and he has booked a hotel room so that they have somewhere to change before the show and to save the 45 minute drive home. Did i mention that they're loaded. Of the four of us I am the most educated and the least paid. Saying that though this two weeks of leave that dsis and exbil have is pretty much the only time they see their kids for more than a couple of hours at a time. I think my life is the richer

Stefe, it sounds as though DD will be having a fab time, but I'm sure that your life is far richer. Lovely for a couple of weeks, but not for all the time.
The new image sounds exciting does having slices in mean that it won't be a DIY colour

I worked until 3.30 and then, being the good egg that I am, I covered my mum's shift for her from 5-7. I'm just finishing off a steak sandwich with salad for my tea.
Mr Twit is off working away tomorrow until next Thursday I think, so I'd better shove these pots into the DW and go and sort out his travel bag. I think his toilet bag should be OK, as I'm sure that I left it packed following his last trip away.

    .

it'll be sort of DIY except that dd will be doing the DIYing and the dyeing. She's really very good at hair even though she's never been trained. she looked gorgeous today and had cut her hair herself. I haven't got a clue what slices are but I think it's a posh word for stripes and have warned her that I'm a respectable old lady and work in a court so it had better not be too exciting

Are you in the shop again tomorrow? How's your uncle?

I've just tackled part of the mountain range of ironing....just so I can pack some of it in my bag for my trip to visit DS2 on Thursday......but I did have the help of a large glass of vino de plonko & a recording of Trinny & Susannah from last week!

Of to bed - OH not home until tomorrow :( so king sized bed all to me :)

Hi Floss, uncle has got chicken pox
Working tomorrow, but making sandwiches, I do like variety.
    Impressed with the ironing.

Stefe, wish your DD lived close to me.
