(((((((((HUGS)))))))))to all the poorly, depressed, fed up or who just feel the need xx
Hilstep St Lucia ooo how lovely:cool:
Snowy What a shame and not really very fair of them, if agency staff can do the job and are keen, why not give them a chance.
betheebee ....I always get Portsmouth and Plymouth mixed up too.....I dont know why, I just have a sort of mental block as far as they are concerned;)
mioliere I agree with Squiggly give them all a job to do,preferably away from the house, it will keep them from under your feet. You need time for YOU too dont forget.....and if all else fails go for the back up, the GIN bottle, then you can just float around on your own little cloud doing your own thing, and believe, me nothing will bother you :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Nelski wheres the pic???????????? cant see him, and you know how it brightens my day when you post your little friends on here  :rotfl: :rotfl:
stefejb O how awful, its a good idea to change the locks, at least then you will feel more secure xx
taplady lots of people seem to have a funny throat and a bit of a cold, but not a cold, if you see what I mean, and it seems to be taking ages to clear up.
Triggles hope you feel better now.Dont rush things, it will all get done eventually, housework is`nt worth making yourself ill again. Sit back and relax as much as you can.
redruby (((HUGS)))Hope your dad is ok. The same thing happened to a friend of ours about 8 yrs ago, he is on tablets and has a check up every year now, and seems fine
Late on here again today, just had one of those days, been running around like a headless chicken. OH now wants something to eat....his hands must have stopped working.....he can have english muffins with beans on, nice and quick.
Better go back later

Hello all! :grouphug: hugs to all who need them!
I am having a bleurgh day today. I've been trying to learn to knit (just not happening, will try again tomorrow), looking after OH who is suffering food poisoning or something similar, and waiting on a call from the BBC who helpfully emailed to say it would be 'sometime' today.
Ah well I'm spending the time making lists and getting inspiration. I had vague ideas of wanting to get ready for winter, but thanks to all the seed lists and rotation plans I've been making my brain keeps trying to get ahead of itself to next spring!!!
I went out yesterday and bought an academic diary (39p BARGAIN thank you Wilkos!) and have started jotting chores in for the weekends between now and next year! Started with things like when seeds need to be sown, now I'm moving on to lining curtains etc. I feel more organised already! Funny how something like that clears your mind so easily.
Waiting for phonecalls sucks. I could have given them my mobile number but I use the mobile so rarely it's stuck in a drawer somewhere with no battery. Why did giving them my home number seem such a good idea?0 -
another flying visit im afraid.
i hope everyone is well, sending hugs to those in want or need of one
happy birthday to caterina if she pops in.
trying to get a 'to do' list sorted with all my jobs for this week, got heald up this morning when local paper shop needed help with 2 rounds so i dragged the boys out in the rain (we earned £8 for the holiday fund:D )
loaded the wm but not worth styarting it as its drizzly here

Hello everyone,
I'm back, all moved in but not yet sorted out! Must change my signature!
Hugs to all those in need, I haven't managed to catch up with the thread as I am still trying to get organised.
Welcome to all the newbies that I have missed.
DS & I moved in last Thu and today decided to go for a walk and explore the area a bit, just to get out of the house, which was nice.
OS wise, BM is on making dough for rolls and when they are rising I will make a cake. Made Hobnobs on Sun just to de-stress and take my mind off all the things left to do.
Am in the middle of changing all the lightbulbs to the energy saving ones, ironed my curtains and nets yesterday and got those up, so it is beginning to look like home.
Raining here so no washing on, am chuffed that my new kitchen is much bigger than the last one, big enough for the dining room table and chairs and the TD although not planning in using it much. Front room has patio doors and is S/W facing so when the sun shines it gets nice and warm, not today though!
DS is getting a bit bored as he doesn't know anyone here, luckily he has a friend staying next week so that should be keep him busy, roll on Sept for school, which remind me I need to change all the uniform I brought him (wrong colours), will pop into Ipswich on Thu via the park and ride and do it then.
Anyway enough waffling from me, take care all.

Hi all - I am desperately late so cannot say good morning!! Nearly 1500 - where does the day go?
More rain (sighs). I am feeling totally frustrated at being unable to get into the garden and check out the tomatoes and chillis and strawberries. The OH says they are all fine but 'fine' is not descriptive enough for me, I need to see them! :rotfl:
Did well last night with dinner - it was another store cupboard and freezer meal and I discovered some sausagemeat frozen at christmas and a packet of stuffing in the cupboard so invented Sausage meat patties with mashed potato and garlic cabbage and it was totally delicious!! Even the OH had to agree it was nice. Had the rest cold for lunch with branston pickle...
Thank you to all who responded to my comments about my nephews. It's a horrible situation and I can only pray that things work themselves out one day. I miss them so much it hurts.
So for the rest of this dull and rainy day I think I will do some handwashing and also work out what to eat tonight. Am thinking corned beef quiche as we have some salad to eat up and that will go nicely with it.
Hope everyone is having a good day and to those dealing with painful situations I send a big hug.

wmf and wannabe sybil thank you for your ideas...I'm out on Weds night and probably away this weekend and I'm off on hols next Tuesday, so I'm a bit loath to go out and do any food shopping and eat up not eating it all...
I really need to start stocking up a store cupboard soon. I've only been in my flat for seven weeks and my cupboard is full of non store cupboard bits and pieces
Tonight though, I am having a beef, feta cheese and beetroot salad, hopefully that will use up one of the lettuces and my other odds and ends then I'll use the other for lunches this week. Then a veggie burger with mash and carrots and cabbage...
Saying that though I could take some of the bits will me to my boyfriend's this weekend and fed both of us instead of getting take away

Still haven't got anything done, and I'm missing a chance to get going while little bear is asleep.
I supposed I ought to buck up, but it so much easier to say that than do it (especially if there has been gin).
It may be to do with forgetting my antidepressant last night.
I have had a bit of a do with it this time.
I think I will read two more pages of the 50p per day til Christmas thread then right a very short and simple list. Perhaps I should start, 'walk away from the computer, walk into the kitchen, turn on hot tap...'
I've just heard little bear stir - poor little mite is so in need of a long sleep, I hope he carries on with a long nap.
Melli - that salad sounds delicious. The weather here at the moment is saying 'casserole' but I could just manage a salad.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
