.....I'm a 24 years old, graduated a couple of years ago and bought a house a few months before graduating and still got the overdrafts to prove it! Live with my fella (Tom) of four years (and no there are no plans of marriage right now, everyone seems to ask!) we have three cats who are spoiled but lovely. I work with Tom's mum running the family business whilst he runs off to work at the Financial Times every day. First learnt about Martin on Radio 2 and both now avid fans. Planning for a luxorious debt free retirement even though it's years away!
I am new to posting on the MSE site though I've been reading for a while, I'm amazed by the amount of great advice, support and encouragement everyone has to offer and I'm already getting a buzz out of saving!0 -
Hi,

Hopefully im here for good now, really trying to cut back so I can take the kids to legoland for a weekend in the summer.
My DS is a big food fan (not overweight or anything) he appreciates good food where as my girls seem scared of trying new things! But they are just gonna have to get used to it!! OR STARVE lol

Hello everyone!
I've been posting on the DFW board mostly since I discovered this forum and website but recently, I'm becoming more and more drawn towards the old-style boards so I have a feeling I'll be a more regular visitor over here from now on....
I'm 29, married and work full-time as a PA (due to start a new job at the end of June which is a promotion, very excited about that!). I don't believe in paying full price for anything and am a very traditional housewife at heart (although I don't have as much time for it as I would like in-between working) so I am keen to pick up tips and tricks from all the old-stylers here!
DH and I are hoping to emigrate to France in 4 years time once we've paid off our debts and built up some equity on our home so that's even more incentive to save money and start living the simple lifestyle now. I can't wait to buy a run-down little old place in the French countryside and start keeping chickens :j :jFiona xx

Hello all
Been posting here a little bit over the past few days. I like the community thats going on here in OS! (And people talk about food).
I've been reading the forums on and off for a bit and just increasing my activity. Getting involved with various things (see signature).
A bit about me....I'm 26, live with OH. Have been together nearly 10 years. I am a full time worker - supervisor on a technical helpdesk. Full time mum to my 4 bunnies and 1 budgie
I enjoy watching TV, films, reading, playing on the pc & XBox360 (world of warcraft - I know geek!!) and spending time with my friends who are all baby minded at the moment!!! One of them has a newborn and the other is due in about 7 weeks.
Thats about it for me :T2010 is the year of bargain shopping! Time to money save, exercise and plan! I like to keep busy0 -
I figured I'd say hello, even though I've been posting for a little while.
I originally joined to help out my boyfriend who was reclaiming his bank charges and wasn't sure whether to press ahead with certain letters, so I'd read and let him know how other people got on. I then found the OS board and became hooked, I love this place.
I'm currently living at home, after studying at university for three years (film production) and not having found a job in my chosen vocation for the two years hence. I do work though, as a nanny, as in my opinion, I'd rather work and earn money, then sit on my backside and whinge. So, I work and whinge instead
My only debt at present is my student loan, which I've not begun paying back yet as I don't earn enough. Otherwise I'm saving for a holiday in August to Edinburgh. I have the accommodation/food costs saved already and now am saving spending money, which involves me chucking any 5p, 10p or 20p in a taped up tube left over from Christmas sweets. Its nearly full and then I'll sort it out and put it in the bank.
As you may be able to tell, I like talkingI also love photography, film, reading and music. I have three nieces and two nephews who I love to spoil rotten with kisses and cuddles. I'm a Newcastle fan in both football and rugby and thats about it really. Its very nice to be here
