Hi everyone:) I had to leave work last year through ill health. I have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. My husband and i just have the last 2 at home now, and they are in their early twenties. I loved my job so this was a shock to have to leave, but sure i am getting more used to it now. I find this site brilliant as it is full of great ideas and the contact is doing me good too:)Do a little kindness every day.;)0

Hi Shelvis, I would just like to say congratulations to you both on your miracle. I wish you good health and every happiness for your future. I am a mum of six, and the most wonderful thing is to hold your little one in your arms. It is a truly magical moment. xxDo a little kindness every day.;)0

Hi,
My name is DawnLouise, I am 25 years old.
I work full time in a call centre - sat on my bum all day, no wonder I can't get that figure I always dreamed of!
I am currently engaged and we are saving for our wedding which will hopefully be in 2009 - as soon as we are wed we will have to carry on saving so that we may be able to afford to have children one day!!
We have a beautiful puppy called Kiki - she loves her cuddly dog and digging holes in the garden! But she soooo cute
I loooooooooooove to cook. And my fiance loves me to cook! lol
And I'm really getting into this OS stuff! lolDream of being mortgage free....

Evening all!
I am Kirsty, mum to Heather, who just turned 1 last Saturday, fiance to Steve, living in Bradley Stoke near Bristol. I used to use this board A LOT when I was working and pregnant with my little one but I gave up work when Heather was born so havent had much access to the net except for in the evenings - during which time I tend to enter a lot of competitions and do paid for surveys hehe!
Just wanted to reintroduce myself! Steve and I are in a lot of debt, about £20k, on payment plans for mostly everything and pretty much under control, but always looking for ways to save a few pennies - for instance Heather has been in washable nappies since she was 4 weeks old (would have been from birth, but she was premature and TINY hehe). I love being a housewife and full time mother and take pride in making home made food every day - longing for atumn so I can get the slow cooker back out again hehe. Had to sell the bread maker on ebay though recently - nearly cried - but we just didnt have the time, space or need anymore since the little onw came.
Love reading all the posts and picking up tips and meal plan ideas - espexially now Heather eats what we do and not just little bits of pureed food - the gannet!
Really looking forward to getting to konw you all better again!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0 -

I am Sally, 36 year old single mother of a darling boy aged two and a half. Moneysaving for the above reason...
I work full time but over four days a week and I hate my job but hey I get Mondays off to spend time with my son so I put up with it for now. I work for a big firm of solicitors and sometimes I feel like I am stuck in the seventh circle of hell but it pays the bills.
We live in Lincoln, a massively underrated city. It's nice here. I hate the word nice but it really is.... not much crime to speak of, we live a two minute walk from a lovely country park and stuff. Life is pretty good. This board humbles me as there are people in a far worse state but hanging on and fighting it.
Since I found this site I have joined Quidco that I had never heard of before coming on here and the cashback I have earned from simple things like renewing house and car insurance and everyday shopping on things I'd have bought anyway will mean that my lad and I have a much better Christmas than we'd have had otherwise.0 -
Welcome Sally,
I know that you will find OS helpful in many ways...moneysaving, friendly and lots of ideas for making what money you have s-t-r-e-t-c-h to fulfill your needs.
