Hi I'm also lurking on this part of the board.
I *love* all the moneysaving cleaning ideas, particularly as I am sesnitive to aerosol propellant (I was fine until they went CFC free), and highly perfumed products.
Big thank you to all the MSE old style posters.just in case you need to know:

I too am a 'lurker' to some degree. Picked up a few tips on the old style board for my slow cooker which have been great! I am 36 and work part time / term time in the Inland Revenue ( boo hiss) I have 2 boys 4 and 7 so fit my 15 hours work in when they are at school/nursery. Hubby works beside me too, which is great. Spend every night on MSE and saved quite a bit over the last few months. Hang about Boots most days trying to pick up TD free products. JUst recently started selling my clutter on Ebay - STill a lot of clutter to go though.
Thanks for all your tips!No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

I'm a SAHM with one son and I am a registered childminder looking after a total of 11 children, mainly before and after school. I work quite long hours, first child arriving at approx 7.15am and then last child leaving at approx 5.30ish. They're all wonderful because I keep them too busy to be bored and obnoxious.
I love this site its helped me save over £200 per year on utilities alone. I love it when I can think of an answer for someone's query - nice feeling.
thanks everyoneI like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0 -

Hi there,
I work full time and just live with me and my man in our new flat outside Edinburgh.
I seem to have spent lots of money on lunches and presents and drinks and therefore have nothing to show for anything.
Desperate to pay off my debts and afterwards pay for a cheap wedding...
Thanks for all the O/S Money Saving tips!

I am in limbo at present, awaiting a decision as the wether my Bosses will grant me a disability early retirement pension....spent 20yrs at home bringing up 3 wonderful kids , then 19yrs driving Ambulances in London... have raging Osteo/Arthritis and one bionic hip so far , another is imminent and then my knees will be next on the agenda ... hence can't hack the job anymore... Just have to keep fingers crossed re the pension
Have enjoyed being home the last 2mths as my 6 grandkids have been calling on Nanny to help with homework and run them here and there......had a much loved Kitty put to sleep last week, 20yrs old and healthy till she developed an inoperable tumour 3wks ago I am so grateful I was at home with her to spoil her and give her plenty of laptime at the end of her days.... sad days ahead while we get used to her not being under our feet begging for food .....
LOVE THIS SITE and spend far too much time browsing.....

When I am not here, I am sad to say that I have sold my sole to the insurance company I work for, 45 hours a week (not much longer, the day that loan's paid off, I'm outta there, and back to being a self employed bum!)
I also work in a pub on the evenings and also as a drama tutor for tots on the weekend.
I also have a lot (rather too many), Carebears.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
