I'm 22 and living with my boyfriend, work part-time as PA and also teach flute, singing and piano.
We're not too bad at keeping costs down but we fail in the kitchenI am most interested in saving on grocery bills, making more stuff from scratch and freezing leftovers, using up food before it goes and trying to throw as little as possible but I'm going to need quite a bit of advice so sorry in advance!

Hi,
Yup, another lurker here! Have been reading this site for a couple of years now and I cannot tell you how much help and advice it has given me and has really helped me to get back in control of my debts, if not my life!!
I'm a thirty something singleton with a lovely senile Staffie who is now 12 years 3 months, and I have a mad pampered moggie who will be 17 in July, so we are all getting on a bit in my house. I am a part qualified accountant who never finished the full accountancy course but wishes she did as would be earning loads more by now and probably not as many debts. I have my own house and finally got a little run about of my own. I work full time but have been dreaming about setting up on my own as a bookkeeper for a while now, but just don't know where to start really.
I love this site and do spend a lot of time on here picking up tips etc, so thanks to everyone for all the help.Official DFW Nerd Club member 608- Proud to be dealing with my debts!!!0 -
Hi
Im 27, married and have a wonderful 21 month old daughter, 2 lovely doggies and 1 harassed moggy - or as my daughter says kssss kssss ksss
This site has been invaluable with helping cut down and reduce everyday spending, fantastic with christmas organisation (mound of pressies for very little money (under £200 for 15 people!) and meal planning. Ive lurked for over a year and have now decided to start posting/responding and maybe even try flylady as we both work full time and i hate my house looking like a tip!:D

And yet another lurker wanting to say hi! I have been lurking loyally for a few months now and have been totally inspired by the Old Style money savers. You seem like such a lovely bunch and have been incredibly impressed by what rich lives you live with often quite limited funds. I'm a married 33 year old mum of one 2 year old. I work 2 days as a teacher but am fortunate enough to be able to be a SAHM for the rest of the week. Since I starting reading your posts I am proud to say I have started making my own bread ( I am a proud owner of a Panasonic after reading all your advice threads) I have discovered the joy of meal planning and have managed to drop my weekly shopping bill by almost half as a result of thinking ahead instead of just impulse buying whatever I see cheap :embarasse I have also discovered an aversion to throwing away food, which was a very bad habit of mine! and am growing my own courgettes! I am currently trying hard to lose weight by healthy eating and exercise so will be joining your weight loss thread. Thanks for all the wisdom you have shared already and looking forward to joining in more!0

Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello, wasnt sure if i should have posted this on daily thread or not, im still learning!
I have been reading your forum lately and found its fantastic, the advice and ideas are great.
I am now debt free and want to stay that way, so am particularly interested in the Grocery Challenge as i love trawling the supermarket looking for bargains and trying new dishes at home and particularly love my slow cooker.
Will there be a June Grocery Challenge?
As for me I am 27, am married and have a 5 mth old baby girl. I go back to work next week off mat leave, my DH is a full time SAHD as he was made redundant at xmas.
Therefore am relishing the advice on here for saving the pennies!
I will make a signature, eventually0 -
