Hello everyone,
I'm a newbie and I've only posted a handful of times on the meal planner weeks thread and the July 2009 budget thread too. Just getting to grips with the forum and enjoying it immensely.
I'm Caz and I live in Swindon, Wiltshire (I'm originally from Manchester). I'm a matrimonial solicitor and before anyone says it, I'm not rich!! Been a solicitor for about 10 years, hated it for years, still hate it (!) and so I've decided to change my life and career to something I really want to do. So I've handed in my notice and I am going back to Uni in September to do an adult nursing degree - YIIPPEEE!
So when I'm an impoverished student, I'll need this site more than ever!
I live with my OH (civil partnership) and she is wonderful and very supportive of my new career, despite the financial challenges it will inevitably bring during my studies. My OH works full time too, earning a modest wage. We won't be able to manage on just her salary so I'll hopefully be able to get some part time work during my studies.

Hi All, You are such an interesting and varied lot! I have been a member for quite a while but have only just started posting. Have been getting inspiration for ages though!
I am 49 married with two nearly grown up children, one at uni and one hopefully going in September. I work 3 days in an FE college and am studying for a history degree in my spare time, with the OU!! I am exactly half way there now.
I like to cook and grow my own veggies, OH and I keep hens and have done for over 20 years now. We have two lovely doggies and a pusscat to take care of us, so are never short of company.
I have really enjoyed reading about all of you.:j
Love K

Hello people! I am 51 and live with my husband and 2 teenagers. Teenager 2 has his first girl friend which has brought on some very strange habits like washing and using face cream!
I have been a teacher for many years but it has all gine a bit pear shaped and I've been unemployed for a year
Constantly broke but facing up to it and dealing with things. These boards are brilliant.0 -

Hi all - i have been a MSE member for about a month (i think) and have enjoyed being a part of the discussion threads and the old style threads. Just to introduce myself properly I am a 28 year old single mum with a little boy who will be 3 in October. I work 2 days a week for good old Mr T and one day a week as a classroom assistant (not for the next few weeks though thanks to the hols). I also study at home and hope at some point to become full time in a school (once DS goes off to primary). As for home, its just a wee 2 bed flat up here in sunny Scotland but it does us just fine. We have our own tiny garden and although I have a mortgage on the flat everything seems reasonable finance wise. Saying that I am always on the look out for a bargain and have just this month joined the grocery challenge
Love all the money saving ideasEmma
