Seen those Yankee votive holders mentioned before (here or HUKD, can't remember!) - what do they look like? Do they say Yankee on them or something?

Been keeping a look out but never found them. (Only asking because I have a stash of Yankee Simply Home votives bought from poundshop.com for Xmases!) :D

Actually GLM71093, found the votive holders! Maybe they've been in Poundland for ages and I've just not noticed.

Took the picture at an angle so you can see the Yankee Candle sticker underneath.

This is from Union Street, Glasgow. They have LOADS of the Sleek Bare Skin Foundation, alas, all darker tones again (I'm peely-wally, as they say in Scotland) but there's also another variety of Sleek Foundation in this store - New Skin Revive 35ml (dark shades).

Also more of the Sleek Base Duo Kit Cream Foundation/Powder/Mirror compacts - shades like Praline, Cannelle, Hot Chocolate, Terracotta, Henna (I got Bamboo). This picture of Sleek Creme To Powder Foundation testers might give you an idea as to shades CIMG0316.JPG
This store also has Sleek Mascaras though dumbass here has just realised they are shade 628 Deep Blue, d'oh. It's a duo - Magnitude Lengthen/Magnitude Volumise 6.5ml. Might take them back (unopened, of course).

Had a successful trip to Poundland yesterday evening and thought I would report back on findings. There were loads of Christmas bits for kids, including old fashioned woorden games, light jigsaw puzzles, books galore including "clever books", and a hand grabber which I had to stop myself form buying. (Our LO just isn't old enough!).

My mission was to find stuff to fill my Aldi advent calender with - achieved. I bought a 48-piece My Little Pony jigsaw puzzle (2 pieces a day, I'll make it up in advance so the connecting pieces will find their way into succesive days), some glittery Christmas stickers and a bag of cholcolate Christmas puddings. So for £3, some creative activities and a little treat every day on completion. Next year I'll be on the look-out for a jigsaw with a Christmas scene.

Am a bit annoyed that this thread has ended up in the "Gone" section. redfox - please move it back to its rightful place.

Thanks for returning this thread, I thought I was going mad when I couldn't find it on Friday!

Yankee candles sample size in my local. They were some kind of Apple Spice, thought they smelt vile personally!

Some crisps including Cheetos puffs (8x13g) were two for a quid today.
Dated Feb 2017 so not for that reason!

Quick nip in to Argyle Street, Glasgow for those cushions for sis!

This store also has Maybelline Color Show Designer Nail Art Pen (Gold) and another Burt's Bees item - lip gloss called Lip Shine in 060 Smooch. (Says Calla Lily on the receipt for some reason!).

Swatch of Burt's Bees Smooch Lip Shine here http://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-owYU_Q7siTM/VGs7PbpVpLI/AAAAAAAAEUk/aB1kBawvMV4/s750/Photo%25252020141118122627.jpg from this page http://www.andreasmua.com/2014/11/glossybox-november-2014.html (can't seem to find any swatches on lips!)
Got a good ole soaking earlier - in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow Poundland they have more of the Maybelline Colorshow Designer Nail Art pens (Silver this time) and lots of Yankee Candle Simply Home votives in Fruity Melon (had a sniff but wasn't that keen).

There's also Coley & Gill oil burners out there (good for wax tarts, etc) though I think these are often in Poundland. Poundworld had Yankee Simply Home wax tarts 2 for £1 quite recently.

The (Poundland-brand) Coley & Gill Tea Lights are decent and have a long burn time - at least they did, the last time I bought them was over a year ago!

Edit (about a week later): Picked up some Airpure Home Baking Wax Melts (8 pack 86g for 99p from Home Bargains - they also sell Wickford & Co Melts (love their huge jar candles, not tried these). Can recommend these Airpure Melts, very strong, almost aniseed-y/cinnamon-y but a lovely scent. More varieties on here https://www.poundshop.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=melts (Cherry Berry sounds lovely!).

Also, just burnt one of the Coley & Gill tea lights, burned for 4 hours, which is pretty good :)
